If you're wondering why they all aged inside the crystal, it's because, if you remember, Spyro could still move quite fast even when he slowed time down, so that perhaps would have contributed to the fact that they were able to age.

The old games appealed to a broad demograph. What happened with the Legend series? They made the graphics and storyline cute which appealed to girls, but it didn't work because the gameplay, all the linear run-throughs and melee appeals more to boys. Contradiction that detracted from both sides. The old Spyro had exploring, collecting, racing, killing things. All with a not too serious tone that appealed to all age groups. The legend series was so preteen and obnoxious.

Damn, even though I played all three of the original PS1 games, this trilogy, methinks, is hellish good. The thing is that these are just two different series, which can not be compared with each other. Diffderent gameplay, different purposes. And you know, sometimes it's good to come up with some more serious and developed plot than in the previous games, which had a bit non-serious fairytale setting.

Anyway, like both of the series.

yes and i think they did a good jod on he and the fact that they add Cynder. Well it ad's to the fact that the speches can go on. explisly at the end where you find out the two are in live. and if you read the add ons it explainds who Nina is and etc.

the game was so great when it was for playstation only.

anyway this is one of playstation greatest games since 1998.

spyro would look way better if sony buys them back then they make the game like the classic spyro but with better grapics.

and blu-ray will make the picture way more detailed then dvd.

if a new spyro game comes out it wont be as good since the people who own him now kinda suck:(

plus the power of the ps3 hardware and processor means a beautiful huge spyro game filled with all kind of stuff and trophies:)

xbox360 uses basic DVD so it can fit alot.

if you had a major game over 50gb then it might take a cople disks to beable to play it on an xbox when the ps3 can take only one.

im gonna buy spyro and spyro 2 off of psn store soon=)

I played the original 3 Spyro games made by Insomniac in the 90's and I still love them. I recently checked out this so called trilogy and I don't think that it has anything on the originals. It was a bad idea for Insomniac to give Spyro away to a company who can't unlock the full potential that Spyro deserves. The graphics look beautiful but it is not the Spyro that I will ever appreciate. Im sure people who have played these games from the beginning like I have, will understand.

You should get the first two. They barely take any time to complete anyway. It would make a lot more sense. :)

Cynder used to be Spyro's enemy in the first game of the trilogy(she's his friend in this one); she was being controlled by the main antagonist of the game, Malefor (or the Dark Master). But Spyro rescues her. In the second game, Cynder is captured by Gaul the Ape King, so again Spyro has to rescue her. I can't spoil the ending though. :)

the playstation 1 games have nothing to do with these newer games. Dawn of the Dragon is the third in a trilogy for PS2 and Wii and im not shore what other consoles t is on though.

YES!! No game has ever brought me into a series of emotional shock. First off, the games graphics are pretty good, the area detail is cool. Second, the ending is... awesome, purely awesome no doubt about it. However, the judicious thing would be to play the first two, or else you'll be seriously lost. All in all though, this game rocks big time!

in the last spyro game, the legend of spyro the eternal night, in the end spyro used an ice attack to freeze themselves so they can be protected when the mountains were falling on them and they been stuck frozen for 3 years.
