  • WOW I WAS LOOKING FOR A VIDEO OF SOMEONE MAKING THESE WITH THE LITTLE TOOL. I THINK I MAKE LIKE 10 FOR YOUR 1 HA HA HA AND I DO IT WITH OUT THE TOOL AND I DONT USE PLIERS. YOU CAN PINCH THESE WITH YOUR FINGERS ITS NOT THAT HOT.

  • The video was done well and very clear. What was missing was information on where to buy the cord you are using, what type weights you were using and the size. I have bought 1/8" (too small) and 1/4" parchute cord (seems too big). So a better explination of what the matterials are and where you can buy them would help. Thanks and looking forward to Part II

  • @hunter213ish THEY SELL THE CORD AND BIG 10 POUND BAGS OF THE RIGHT SHOT IN THE LEAD AISLE AT YOUR FISHING STORE. THE CORD IS CHEAP BUT THE BAGS OF SHOT ARE LIKE 18 DOLLARS HERE IN OREGON. IF YOU HAVE BI-MART IN YOUR AREA THEY WILL KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT IF YOU GO IN THERE AND TELL THEM YOU WANNA MAKE SLINKIES

  • nice bit of bowie there

  • @TwistiKristi Thx.. not many catch that..

  • where you melt it and crimp or squish it flat i would take where its flat and heat it and fold it and crimp it again because when you do it just 1ce it doesnt look strong really

  • That's a really good idea. However, in part 2 (if I get the time to edit it) I embed a swivel in the end and melt the cord around the swivel. You melt the hole through the eye of the swivel. I guess I need to get off my ass and make that video...=)

  • When is part 2-3 coming out?

  • hopefully soon. Thanks for asking!

  • Great idea, I've lost more tackle in the Niagara Gorge than I care to think about.

When is part 2 and 3 coming?

  • Thanks for the comment! I'll put part 2 and 3 together in the next week. It's steelhead season and I'm making a tone of these anyway. thx

  • Cool sinker. First time i've heard of slinky sinkers. Think I'll build some. How about using a grommet at the connection end so nothing can wear thru?

  • Hey Thanks! They work really well when drifting bait in rivers.

I am releasing 2 more videos on these sinkers. The 2nd will show all the components you can add and the 3rd will show how to fish them.

In the meantime, you can stuff a swivel in the end and melt/clamp the end of the cord over the swivel. Just poke the hot nail through the cord and the eye of the swivel.

    Thanks again for your comment.
