you havent see middle eastern like this because this is not middle eastern nor arabic style its group usa style with harsh movment perfect body control as they say drum bodies this is not arabic belly dance because it should be more softer sexier more feminin it should show sex appealing not perfect core skill . Basic rule to learn is

For me, that's a matter of taste which style you prefer. I personally enjoy both the technique-focussed american style AND the soft, soulful, fluent middle eastern style. I only dislike a "too much" from both styles: An over-technical, expressionless performance in US-style (which you can see there and then) and on the other hand, a too-sexualized performance (which in my opinion also harms other belly dancers who don't focus mainly on making men horny ;)

I own both. 21 shimmies is just that. It teaches you several shimmies at different speeds and with some traveling and layers. Kaya & Sadie's DVD teaches you isolations to strenghten the movements and make them sharp, drills them, and teaches you to layer them and work them into combos. Both are good for different reasons.
