  • video please

  • @skatebeforehomework ? I'm confused. "video please" what?

  • its just pictures not a video

  • @skatebeforehomework Oh, gotcha. It was a very early work of mine. I was hardly working with actual video then, bt I do have another falls video called Intense Horse Falls. You may not like it at all because of the flashes, but I was using that to practice my timing. If you want to go to where I got the videos, however, most of them have the poster's name at the bottom of the screen.

  • @ThePalomino83 Haha of course I didn't research the horse. I already said I don't have the time to. To be honest, I don't even care what his name is. I asked the poster of the picture if the horse died. S/he said no, so I said that. I never inserted personal opinion about that horse into the entire thing. Or any of the horses save my own, for that matter. Nor do I care that it hurts to land on its head. That wasn't in the discussion at all. Besides, that results from what's called a rotational

  • @ThePalomino83 and if you know so much about equine veterinary practices, then you should know if the bone doesn't shatter, there are rehabilitation methods. The problem is that majority of horses don't have the mind to be still and let it heal seeing as they don't understand human language. There are a few, however, who do have the right mind and survive. Even if they can only ever walk again. So, unless you research this horse, we will never know if he lived or died.

  • @ThePalomino83 That's cool. Becoming an equine vet is tough. I've worked with mine several times and I can appreciate the effort as well as the physical stress it puts humans under. Anyway, I believe the conversation was about the abuses of jumping. If you want to go back to the broken leg, I didn't study the horse. I typed "horse accidents" into Google and found it. I asked if horse died. Person said no. I said: As far as I know, no horse died in this video. End of story. Oh,

  • @ThePalomino83 I meant bold in that one statement. Anyway, of course it wouldn't. You didn't know what you were talking about to begin with, so how could you possibly understand someone who's fully immersed in the sport? It simply doesn't happen.

  • @ThePalomino83 eventers are interested. It's true. We need extremely old horses, but we also need very smart, strong, and brave horses with an intense bond with their rider.

  • @ThePalomino83 You know you don't have to refer to me as "they." I am here. A single person. With a name. Anyway, that's besides the point. The point is, I told you all in the info what I was told. If you really care whether or not it's the truth, why don't -you- look up every single picture and do your own research to find out the extent of horse injuries. I, myself, do not have the time to do so. And, every horse sport has ppl who view horses as tools. Not just jumping, and not everyone

  • @eventercrazy feels this way. Most people love their animals. If you think that any horse in its right mind would be willing to jump true cross country without fully trusting their rider, you have no idea what goes into eventing. Horses and riders need a VERY strong bond with each other. There is a joke among eventers and jumpers out here. eventer: Only horses with a screw loose are willing to jump this stuff it's so risky! jumper: Every time we have a crazy horse for sale, only the

  • but dont ya hate it when people just stand there and like 3 minutes later they come walking i broke my arm when i was eventing and i was sceaming so hard and they only walked over

  • @LetsFlyOnceMore haha No worries :)

  • @LetsFlyOnceMore I agree with your second comment. I misunderstood you at first, but I never assumed you were dissing your own sport. I thought you were dissing the club, but I understood you were defending eventing itself. I'm always slightly defensive on this video because I receive many hate comments a month for this video when I mean no harm. That's also why I have to approve comments before I let them be posted. I post most, but some people say pretty horrible things.

  • @LetsFlyOnceMore I would give you credit for your opinion except for

    1. *I* am a Pony Clubber. A C2 if you even know what that means.

    2. Pony Club was based around eventing and is designed for people who generally can't afford to do many of these $300 dollar events, so prissy is hardly the word.

    3. It is a very prestigious organization that began in Europe as a gateway to CCI**** eventing. If you go to say, Spain, and tell the riding school "I'm a C3 Pony Clubber," they expect you to

  • @LetsFlyOnceMore be fully capable of starting the training for their Lippizaners. How do I know this? My friend went to the riding school in Spain for a trip and was given this opportunity.

In conclusion, I've never heard a Pony Clubber discredit their own sport so much. Even those who branch off to the new dressage of Show Jumping branches must first pass through the first 5 traditional levels of eventing before they can.

I agree with part 2 of your comment.

  • 1:04 look at that poor horses front right leg :'( that doesnt look normal..

  • Holy shit from 0:54 to 1:30 !!!!

  • @KayleighbAndLaurab that is so true!!!! the only reason i didnt get right back on was because wen i fell i broke both of the bones in my arm

  • You have a good horse, at least he stopped when you fell and didn't step over/on you.

  • awwwwwww soooooo ssooooooooooooooooooo sad):=

  • What part is sad?

  • @KayleighbAndLaurab i no i have been riding 4 or 5 years know and people call me a amazing rider but im not i nearly fell off twice but didnt fall off but im not amazing and nobody is perfect and it really isnt easy, i still find it hard sometimes

  • One of my favorite quotes is "You don't know how to ride until you learn how to fall." And I think it's true, you truly don't know how to ride until you learn how to fall.

  • When you wind up like Christopher Reeve you'll be getting what you deserve.

  • @YorySesca Why's that? Bit harsh.....

  • @KayleighbAndLaurab haha so true. Us riders are pretty crazy huh? Only we would get ourselves hurt and keep right on doing what cause the pain. xD Sure sign of dedication.

  • very true. I was trail riding my horse, Pepper, and he threw me (granted I was being dumb, the only bit of tack on him was a halter) but when I fell, I got a massive abrasion from the road that covered my back. I got right back on b/c I didn't want him to learn that when he threw me, he was done working.

  • some of these pics are really blurry

  • Yeah, sorry about that. It's an old video. Made way before I knew how to properly use WMM

  • like says "hold your horses" book:riding is a VERY dangerous sport

  • I haven't heard of that book before... And I agree, riding is extremely dangerous, yet I love it ever more. :)

  • @eventercrazy

me too!hold your horses is funny book

  • Poor horses..They don't enjoy this. Terribly cruel with no respect for these poor dear hearts. Makes me sick to my stomach...

  • I can see why you would think that, but I have to say, with my horse, we used to do western pleasure, and you could see the hate in his eyes. He never pointed his ears, always pinned them, wrung his tail, kicked and bit any horse who dared to come close. Now we do eventing, fetured here, and he never pouts, his ears point, and he seems to love life again. If you have an animal who truly hates jumping, it's nigh impossible to force them without severe injury and consequence. It's rare to see abus

  • e as compared to kindness. lol sorry, got cut off there. I do appreciate your concern, however. :)

  • :) He's funny like that. I had a fall recently where I pulled his bridal completely off (throat latch not tight enough) and he didn't even flinch. lol

  • It is all accidents, not abuse. You can't make a 1000 lb creature jump if they really don't want to. What usually happens is the rider sees the wrong take off distance, and the horse struggles to save it. These aren't common by any means, I've just collected a lot in one video. I do appreciate your concern for these beautiful animals.

  • Crap comment!

If you could read dates you would see this is a very old video of mine and they have improved immensly.

  • does anyone know the song name?

  • pain by three days grace

  • pain by three days grace

  • Great video! But some of those falls must hurt A LOT !

  • It amazes me that these wonderful animals actually go over the things we make them jump over. I own a warmblood/throughbred cross and after seeing these videos & others, no way am I ever jumping her over anything! lol. Serious question: why does it look like a LOT of the riders actually HOLD onto the reins when they fall off? When I fall, the first thing I do is let go of the reins. I don't want to be connected to the horse in any way. Can someone explain this to me? Don't be mean, please!

  • To be honest, I have no idea.... I jump and when I fall about half the time I hang on, the other half I manage to let go... :/ lol

  • haha, you should try riding sometime is actually NOT easy, wow you annoyed me!!!!

  • haha you so smart!!!! So I see you can read well too! I mean the video only has pics of me riding, says I know riding is hard, and my video notes state the same!!! Holy cow! I even jump 3'6" fences at training level in eventing! I've even done cattle work, gaming, english/western pleasure. I've trained horses taken them to show and won! I actually ride off the track TBs! The QH I ride isn't built for jumping, was meant for WP, yet we haven't lost an event in over a year! I mean, wow!

  • crap quality

  • Aren't you a kind person. Did you ever pause to think, "Hey, maybe this person hasn't been making films for very long? Or maybe their other 50 or so that are more recent prove this is an early video?" I guess not. I also guess that you young and immature and do not yet understand society's ideals nor the definition of polite.

  • Good job in sticking up for yourself there. Great video! x with some GOOD QUALITY footage. hahaa x

  • Thank you! :)

  • 1:04 the horse clearly broke its leg, and you know what they do with 99% of horses with broken legs right? Well, I ride too, and what can i say? Humans are the ones over horses and not the oposite, they know the risks they are taking in name of a hobby. Animals are not to be played with

  • Animals are not to be played with nor are they machines. I agree. Although, when it comes to broken legs, majority of horse owners try to save their horse. Then its up to the horse for whether it will recover or not. Depends on the horse's personality and activity level.

  • That might happen in the amateur level, in a small scale, where owners love their horses. In competitions such as show jumping, horse racing, rodeos, etc, horses are things, investments and its just not economically worth it for their owners to spend time or money in an animal that most of the time will never be able to perform the same. I think its terrible, and thats why I think such commercial/competition use of animals is cruel.

  • I ride and train with professionals in eventing. I see where you're coming from, and no, not every rider loves their animal. It is also a business. But with any animal of any species, you will see abuse. The part that makes it easy to believe is the fact that bad news spreads at least as twice as fast as the good. I have only seen major abuse happen at the amature levels of riding, to be honest. I love your concern, I just want you to know that it isn't common place :)

  • As far as racing goes, I would consider it higher up on the inappropriate use of the animal list, but those horses are taken extremely good care of at higher levels to try to ensure the best performance so that money making is possible. I simply think those horses are too young b/c their bones, muscles, and joints aren't fully developed. That's where a lot of the accidents come from, I believe. Again, concern is good; better than not caring at all.

  • @TheRachel33 most high level showjumpers take very good care of and LOVE their horses.

  • yes siree! :)

  • great vid! I think that the last guy in your vid before you riding died from that fall. but I dont know?

  • @horselover981 Thanks! He did? Thats awful... I made this a long time ago, so I don't remember what sources told me that everyone lived...

  • ur right horses are not easy to ride i have 5 horses and it is hard because u dont know wats going to happen so if ppl think that ridding is easy!!!

  • Thanks! I'm so glad you understand!

  • Not the easiest ways to fall off a horse! at least very bad falls are qiute rare and usually both horse and rider get up and walk away fine (or almost)! I don't see how some people could not figure out that you were being sarcastic at the beginning!

  • Thank you! Finally people understand...

  • haha, horse riding is not easy, i gotcha! How could people NOT know that you were being sarcastic..??? :)

  • OMG those people are so dumb when the horse fell right in front of them it looked like their expression was like oh haha stinks for you. They didnt move or anything. People are soo DUMB.

  • Sarcasm can be a dangerous tool to use sometimes. Keep praying for people who can read/think. :D Thank you for the cool vid, BTW

  • Thanks. lol ya it can, but I feel like when I say that I'm not serious in several places, people would figure it out.. ya know? lol :)

  • Jeeze!!!! it feels like NO ONE can read!!!! why do you think my name is EVENTERcrazy?!?! why is the video called PAINFUL horse FALLS why at the end do i say it is NOT easy??? why do i show EVERYONE falling>> why do i show MYSELF falling??? why cant you read the info? or my comment to the other people? btw, ive ridden ALMOST every discipline, i can guarantee i KNOW how to ride and what it's like. why do people seem to love ripping into my throat before thinking.. :(

  • at first i thought the name of the video was paint horse fall, so i was really confused until i re-read it and it was painfull horse falls. lol!!! this is how my odd mind works..............

  • haha lol

  • Horse riding is dangerous! Jumping and eventing is one of the dangerous sports world wide. It's so scary. Ive only had a horse fall on me once and i was terrified to get back on again. I jump horses and it can get pretty scary. My friend was in the hospital for a month becuz her horse ran her over after they jumped and she fell. But riding horses is also very exciting. It's great when you know how to do it. **********RIDING ISNT EASY!!!!**********

  • Im the girl at 02:15 i broke my arm an mi wrist so u cant say it not bad

  • did you read my MILLION comments about my being sarcastic?? did you see my name? did you see pics of my stupid fall? or my other vids? i clearly do not think riding is easy

  • im so sorry mi cousin shares my profile and she is the girl 02:15 but after the fall she started to hate them . im so gonna kill her for this !

i have changed the password so she cant get in anymore

  • @thekitkattwins umm ok. THanks for letting me know. I'm very sorry for her pain; I was just frustrated because almost no one's figured out the sarcasm.. But, anyway, thank you for letting me know.

  • @thekitkattwins Also, if you do talk to her about this, just let her know that I event and aspire to go to Rolex one day, but she had a very nice looking horse and that must of been a tough intermediate level jump. :) I know my fence colors ;) lol

  • 1:03 painfull for both;( im cyin' out

  • People freak out about eventing and that so many riders are at fault for their injuries, they're not, the course designers make the courses so difficult! Seriously people, and I agree with BsHaBaBy that eventing requires bravery, and horses LOVE it! So seriously people stop bitching about it!!!

  • 2:28 painfull for rider - embarassing for queen

  • 3:13 looks alot like my horse! thats scary!

  • i agree w/ the person who said if you havent fallen off a horse you're not riding enough!

  • The horse at 1:01 died, it broke his leg in three different places.

  • u r saying u hate horses then the reason a horse stops or falls is cause off the rider not the poor horse nd ur video is rubbish btw !!

  • 99% of riding problems are due to the rider. WHY is my video rubbish? look at the date. It's obviously old and it was a bout my 3rd ever made video. and, if you think im serious, learn to read. It's called sarcasm. you ought to know that when all i show is PROBLEMS

  • Eventing should be illegal. Notice all the hunter jumper accidents aren't as bad...."interesting".

  • or the bad riders that cause the accidents should work harder or just not ride. OR you could understand that those pics are from over the YEARS and accidents arent that bad that often.

  • ottopasquier, thats basically saying you hate riding:) eventing isn't for your egos and i think you'll find the horses adore the cross country(i) and it is bravery i think a oliver townend would agree with me! and besides if you always stick to just showjumping or dressage your horse os gonna get bored! trust me i do the bsja thats why we all do a mixture even if it is only unaffiliated its just as good for you and your horse and it improves your bond:)gonna stop bein an arse hole!Brilliant vid

  • I've done eventing, and it scares me. deffinately takes courage! I don't think I'll do it again unless my trainers make me haha. but I had to try!

  • I LOVE EVENTING!!! lol i totally understand though :)

  • soo true!!! ive fallen 3 times and almost did a week ago :)

  • if you havent fallen off a horse your not riding enough

  • Is this to me or someone else?

  • to everyone (not trying to be mean but its true that if you havent fallen off a horse your not riding enough)

  • If you havent fallen off you have a dam good seat or a push button pony. Not that your not riding enough! noob

  • true tht i fell off the same horses twice

  • @Lazyidiot24 NOT TRUE.

  • wow, which song is this please? it's awesome

  • Pain by Three days Grace

  • 1:31 to fall from that height would hurt! not many ppl fall while the horse goes over the jump, its usually when the horse refuses the jump and they fly over it, or when the horse doesnt land right and tthe rider falls off

  • nt every1 can ride stupid idiot

  • Seriously. Can no one read? Does no one know sarcasm? Does everyone like to jump at my throat? Why do you think my name is "eventercrazy" Why do you think i have videos of me riding, falling, and trying. Why do you think that I call horse back riding HARD?

  • Comment removed

  • I see where you're coming from, but that isn't entirely true. These accidents are either freak and rare or stupid riders. If a horse doesn't want to jump, believe me, it won't. It's impossible to forse a 1,000 lb animal to do something they don't want to. You cant do there sports unless you have a partnership. MY horse and I have become so close through eventing and nothing bad has ever happened. We're still going strong.

  • yes, thats it!!!!

  • motorcross os way tougher than jumping horses!!!

  • I disagree, but, ok. whatever you think. I don't motorcross, do you event horses?

  • I was on an equestrian drill team. one girl had claimed to have trained her horse and to have been on the team for 2 years already. I got captain my freshman year. She got co-captian. imagine how pissed she was! and she didnt train her horse. she bought him when he was amazing then she ruined him

  • I hate seeing that happen!

  • poor horses :(

  • nice landing derp

  • awesome

  • ha! that's what my brother and sister think...they all showed up at a show I was in, and they were saying that I was going to kick ass and all that...and i fell off in my first jumping class hahaha,.

  • 1:03...ouch.

that fetlock looks to be in a terrible position.

  • what's the name of song?

  • Pain by Three days Grace

  • I was in a horrible accident while showing which left me paralyzed hips down. (From what I have been told, the horse fell face down, I feel off, and he landed on his back on top of me crushing my lower spine nad both legs. I still ride with the help of a saddle that my PT put together so that I could say on without the use of my legs. But before the accident everyone didn't believe me when I said its a tough sport, oddly enough most of them where there that day to witness my accident.

  • Oh. My. God. I am SO sorry... :( At least you still get to ride, right? :) What sport do you do?

It is odd how that works out... I bet they think differently now. When people say it isn't a sport I just flex my arm and tell them to feel it. They're always stunned to silence. :)

  • I DID Cross Country . Now i just ride for the fun of it. If the horse were to slip and go down after jumping now, there would be no way of me getting out of the saddle. Yeah I they were stunned. Now they yell at other people for saying its not a sport. They're all like "OHHH Yeah our friend could ahve been killed, from riding a horse." and then people are like WOAH!!! DANG!!!

two of my friends now ride b/c of me. and one of them rides copper for me

  • its funnny cause my horse will be bucking rearing spinning anything when he gets scared or hes just being cheeky and then this little pony trots a bit to fast and the chick breaks into tears and while my horse is chucking a major spaz im sat there laughing at the chick for crying cause her horse trotted off and she claims shes a better rider than me and that she could control my horse better :)

    like thatll happen

  • lol people like that are annoying, yet their wrongness can make my day cause it's so funny :)

  • LOL i ride 2 !!!! i compete in show jumping.. i jump 1 meter and 30 cm. omgg.... today i almost killed myself riding because my mare is scared of horse trails.. so we decided to go in one... and yeahhhhhh i almost killed myself in there and everybody started to laugh and to tell me like " youre mare is so easy 2 control blah bñahh... " but theyy dont know its really hard to control her

  • lol don't you love it when they're like that? I laugh when people gasp at my horse in the arena b/c he goes into a minor bucking fit. I just think "He's got more buck than this!!" lolz

  • ageth this is very frightening! (ahha sorry ageth is like agh and eth so yeah) brings back bad memories. my friend and a few more of my other friends and me went xc schooling and then my friend who was only in training but was moving up to prelims was doing a prelim line, and AGH it was horrifying.. the horse hit the jump, i remember seeing that part, and she flew up in the air, hit the ground, and the horse landed on it. it was so scary!

  • Horseback Riding rated 3rd in the worlds most dangerous sports.

  • :) Doesn't surprise me at all, but hey, I may be crazy but I love the adrenaline rush at the thought. What are the first two?

  • number one is lawn bowls

    number 2 is base jumping

  • lol interesting... xD

  • good song were did ya get it!

  • bought it on itunes then converted the format.

  • How exactly did you convert the format? I want to make a video of myself and my horse with a certain song. Nice job compiling this SCARY video slide show, btw! Super scary :( I'm glad I don't do eventing...it seems ridiculously risky

  • those two at 2:33 and 2:42 would of been embarassing!

  • love da song and vid

  • 1:05 the horse's ankle is obviously broken!

  • Think BEFORE you comment!!! Would I call a sport easy then show everyone getting hurt or falling and still mean it? Some of those riders are professional, if they are falling, could it honestly be THAT easy??? Now be smart and THINK before speaking. Thank you and sorry, but I'm REALLY fed up about this now.

  • Okay not every one can ride horses it takes talent and lots of work.ive bin riding for ten years do your research before u make these videos !

  • *HUGE sigh* Ok, this is what I told the last person:

That was TOTAL sarcasm. Think about it, if I call it easy then proceed to show only photos of various leveled riders falling along with their horses, would you honestly think I'm serious? You should think: "Holy crap! Everyone's falling! That's not easy..." I DO ride. I event, hence the name, it isn't easy. I work out daily to be strong enough for it and I ride a devilish horse while training another horse. It is HARD. I should know.

  • Pain by Three Days Grace

  • 1:03 !!! Did the horse break its leg?

  • No the leg is just Hyper extended.

  • Hmm... I was using total sarcasm... It's actually terribly hard and to ride well you need to be in very good shape. Bronc riding is hard on your body, and it does take strength, but I consider difficulty in riding to be all equal in different ways except for events like showmanship. And maybe pleasure, trail, joy riding, and equitation. That's only a maybe too.

  • why does everbody think it is easy !! dude, have you ever ridden a horse? maybe you have ... but a REAL one... difficult and wild and urgently needed trainingg ? dont think so... so shut the hell up and try it

  • 1: Do not use word such as "hell" as young kids watch this aka my cousins. It's inappropriate here. THank you.

2: That was total sarcasm. Think about it. If someone says it's easy then proceeds to show you every single person falling off, you should logically think "That's not easy! Everyone's falling!" See? Also, I do ride and it IS terribly hard. I workout (endurance and weights) for my riding, I deal with a very tempermental horse every day, I exhaust myself *trying* to supple another. =hard.

  • Btw, every horse is a "real" horse. They were all like that at one point or another. Horses that appear calm are frequently the hardest ones to ride. "Wild" ones just take more time and patience. I say this because I have indeed trained horses.

  • um it didnt brake if you knew how a horses leg can bend then you would know his leg has bent up as he was landing it was never broken yes it looks od but its not broken

  • yuhh It looks pretty broken to me. Horse's pasterns do not extend forward from the fetlock like that.

  • 1:30 cracks me up. XD

  • what is the song and who is it by?

  • Pain by Three Days Grace. :)

  • at 1:05 it looks like the horse's leg is bent the wrong way doesn't it?

  • 1:33 - BATH TIME!

  • the horse at 1:00 Did Unfortinuatly break his neck so had to be put down on the secen

    R.I.P

    X.x.X

  • Why the hell would someone give you a thumbs down on that comment? I'm sorry, I just noticed that. That's very sad, I'm sorry to hear that.

  • It's ok. I have no idea... nothing bad was said

  • ya at :55 the poor horse probably broke his neck :( that sucks but people shouldnt get mad about .. no one is sure unless they were there and that's unlikey

    Great video!!

  • ooohhh, that looks sore!! i fell off showjumping, but luckily, i landed in the middle of the spread lol :)

  • at :55 the horse was put down, don't see why people 'blow up' at you though,

  • 1:30 looked painful but the horse looks like it was flying :D

  • fun???!!!

    injures are fun?!

  • Not injuries... Riding is fun and it's just worth the pain that sometimes come with it. Kinda like working out is worth it despite the soreness that comes with it. Honestly, riding is amazing and I would take a broken bone doing it, doesn't mean I like breaking a bone, I like the ride. THe companionship with the horse is amazing too... the connection and trust between the two of you... :)

  • amen!! and whenever u get hurt, then the next time u try what u got hurt at, then ull knw what NOT to do! "expirence is what u get when u didnt get what u wanted"...i live by that saying =)

  • Most people regard horse racing as a harmless sport in which the animals are willing participants who thoroughly enjoy the thrill. The truth is that, behind the scenes, lies a story of immense suffering.

  • so true.. even on the track you can see it... the horses are way to young and their joints aren't set nor bones fully developed yet... I won't get started... but unfortunately... that is in every sport at least somewhere in the world... :( if only people got smart and cared for the horses first...

  • yes in some situations that is true. but rarely it is. the horses that race/jump. usually enjoy what they do or they wouldn't be doing what they do well. i own a retired race horse and i have no physical problems with her, and when she was there i know she was treated like royalty, other then i had to strengthen her off side a bit. the stuff you talked about happens but it's really a large misconception on how much it does (btw i don't race horses i'm not sticking up for it because i do it.)

  • wait... is this directed towards anyone?? I'm lost... Anyway, yuppers, everyone has accidents at some point or another. Not necessarily to the point of horse and/or rider dieing though. :) Thankfully. lol I love the adrenaline rush I get going out onto a xc course when I suddenly think about the number of fatal accidents so far that year. It is worth it, generally the stupid riders get the fatal falls. (depending on sport)

  • yeah. at drill team practice my sis and i collided in crossovers and i fell off and they almost rode over me, my other horse bucked me then drug me around the arena, and i fell off at districts with another horse in poles and landed sideways on the pole (can't fit the details from them)

  • yeah. I've been thrown into fences, jumps, ditches, almost water, so hard my helmet literally split down the middle (and the owners of that horse told me not to bother with a helmet!! That would have been my head!!) and I once was run over by the horse.. Had a massive horse shoe-shaped bruise for awhile... :)

  • OUCH! I have fallen down bad, but my helmet hasn't split!

  • :) I think it's because I fell on rocks, head almost first... lol I can laugh now, but I still blame the owners for saying "Oh no! This is a beginner's horse! You don't need a helmet." Yeah, a nice hyped off the track tb is so a beginner's horse... lol I was still learning then, I should have guessed. :)

  • same thing happened to me, but I got reared off backward on black top. thankfully the horse wasn't shod so he had some grip. and I was being led by some one (the first-time owner) who was stupid enough to hold onto the bridle and get his shoulder dislocated. no permanent damage to me or the horse just scrapes and bruises on my back and shoulders and a very mild concussion. I can only imagine what it would have been like without the helmet. I love ignorant horse owners and psycho horses. :):):)
