  • I wish I met this mother fucker in a cabover so I can hit him head on and die!!!

  • thats a detroit but its not the v12 its a smaller motor because its in a cabover. my dad used to drive a kw just like that.

  • what an inglorious end to an old KW COE, especially if it had twin 238's in it. Sounded more like an 8V71.

  • wow that 12v71 detroit screams

  • @ZR1KingOfTheHillZR1

The truck will have two air intakes if it was a real v-12 engine. Also the v-12 engine is so large you would see it sticking out form under the rear of the cab. This most likely is just a in line 6 big cam cummings.

  • ha yeah like that big old heavy thing would hang with that 350 on dirt roads.

  • right a 305 or 350 chevy being caught by a v12 pete fucking hollyweird.

  • i hate 80's music

  • Pete 362?

  • @MeGaHiLlBiLlYdElUxE no a kenoworth dont know what model

  • WOw a CABOVER! You don't see cabover's anymore these days.

  • he's reely haulin whas under the bonnet

    A V12 WTF

  • @TheBrett

There were Detroit Diesel V12's(12V-71) back then-

    less than 2mpg.

That's why they don't run 'em anymore.

Werner ttrucking has a V-12 Cat powered truck in their collection, but it's the same story and the Cat is heavier, too.

Big Detroits are where Roots-type blowers(superchargers)were really perfected.

They were gear-driven on the Detroits(all 2-stroke motors)but were converted to belt-drive for drag racing.

Whenever you see a dragster, you're looking at the Detroit legend.

  • is this a rip off of duel or something?

  • That was my most favorite movie of all time back then.

  • What a crappy movie. "Duel" with Dennis Weaver was much better.

  • you have to take a film like this for what it is

    good 80s B-movie cheese.

comparing this to Duel, is like comparing Trancers to Blade Runner.

  • @Phil0267

Yes, but the best part about the movie is the Kenworth(conventional cab) with the 8v92 and that cabover with the 12v(v12).

  • @Phil0267 look on the bright side, at least it didn't have today's computer bullshit. All movies of today are and forever will be bullshit.

  • it sounds more like an 8v71.

  • this movie rocks just a pitty it wasn't a mack truck, it would have made it all the way there lol

  • hauling plutonium in tha back of a pick up? thats nice... lol

  • Another wicked chase clip, tnx.

  • Dumbass thats a 12v71 Detroit it sounds like it.

  • one case where the people that made the movie got it right! They say it's a v12 and its awesome.

Can't have a truck chase without a detroit.

  • They use two different Kenworth K100s. A 1963 and a 1981 K100 model.

  • Movie career ending line #374: "He's not interested in the plutonium! That mother is crazy!"

  • "that thing is really hauling whats it got in that thing? a v12" prolly a 12v71T detroit.

  • i remember i have it on BETAMAX tape video i never refound it on DVD ! crazy !

  • you can get it on ebay on dvd now I guess. I'll have to pick it up

i'm not expecting fantastic quality or anything, but it would be nice to have.

  • poor ol chev its magically fixed through 3:50-4:01 and man that v 12 is totaled

  • Definitely awesome! I remember this from when I was a kid!

  • great movie! wanna more these video chase clips here..

  • definitely one of the best trucker action movies of all time. right up there with smokey and the bandit; minus the comedy.
