  • The Japanese acting is certainly yards better than that of the English-Language acting seen in Twin Snakes.

  • i actually like the grey fox voice from the japanese one better cause it actually sounds more robotic and like it should the ps1 grey fox voice was crap cause it was the same guy who played darpa chief TTS' grey fox voice was well Meh

  • Yeah, you're the only one.

  • Although I prefer MGS's English voice acting better, the Japanese voice work is still badder than hell. Snake sounds like a beast, and Gray Fox... well, sounds the way he should sound; like a maniac.

  • The voice actor of ninja died.

It was a famous person, and, therefore, it is regrettable.

  • strange for otakon to actually say "in my JAPANESE anime's" when this is the japanese version... unless if thats just in the subs and he didnt actually say that *shrugs* im always amazed how much cooler the japanese dialogue is but since i grew up with english i really like the english voices :D

  • You do realize that 'Metal Gear Solid' doesn't take place in Japan, right ?

  • i know im sorry i forgot about that at the time lol, ignore me i wasnt thinking straight XD

  • @psycho1279

Well you have to remember that they are all Americans in the story. So, it wouldn't be too weird to say it. He may just say anime in the original I don't know for sure.

  • @KrazieCastaway They're not ALL Americans, but you still make a fine point.

  • @psycho1279 Arguably, he has been raised in America, and Japan uses the term "Anime" for cartoons regardless of regional origin. So it makes sense if it's simply rendered as "It's like something out of an action flick!", just for the sake fo being generic..

  • "and Japan uses the term "Anime" for cartoons regardless of regional origin" Hmmm, I wonder about that.

  • @filipeflower they actually do.

  • Really? I'll ask my friend Beniko if that's true.

  • @psycho1279 that's only in the subs. Japan is not mentioned in that line :)

  • @psycho1279 but dude, Otacons American...

  • "It's like one of my Japanese animes..."

    LOL

  • da orerokatschi sasetequiri orniugiri krhauw kre 1:45 1:55 i think is that

  • Maybe?

  • Ore wo kanji sasete kure, Ore ni ikiru jikka wo okure or smthn my japanese is not close to good but i can still understand 90% of the stuff they say in the whole sequence involving snake and grey fox.

  • Snake's voice actor is also Batou from Ghost in the Shell, Anavel Gato from Gundam 0083, and even Riker from the Japanese dub of Star Trek the Next Generation :-P I'm a big fan of Batou and Gato, so I wish the Japanese voice overs could be heard in all the North American Metal Gear releases.. sigh...

  • He also voices a minor role in "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya"

  • coincidence or not,the guy he voices in Haruhi Suzumiya resembles a lot Old Snake

  • Is it just me or this video is not loading ?

  • Loads fine for me.

  • the japanese voice actors sound so much more epic and cool =] 01:45 - 01:55 so cool

  • 'The Twin Snakes' didn't have any Japanese voice actors. This is the original Japanese voice-acting taken from the PlayStation version.

  • yh same

  • Whaddya mean?

  • Grey Fox sounds robotic.

  • He's supposed to sound like that.

  • @surpremechesseburger "Cyborg" Ninja

    Case closed.

  • These Japanese voices are from the original Japanese PlayStation version. "The Twin Snakes" didn't use Japanese audio for the records.

  • LOL, oh wow, that last line by Snake actually fits into the lip syncing. Wow.

  • I think hey had Japanese voice actors for motion capture even though they didn't have Japanese dialogue.

  • Awesome I love the Japanese voices.:)
