@0N33T well yes it might appear that way but lets be realistic almost all major resutrans are selling meals at ridicolus prices not for the content but for their name. This to me is embarrassing as a customer as I think what I am getting is worth since a) it is the so and so and b) I am paying $50 just for a dish so yea the placebo effect is a big factor!

However, if you can think about what I say, I actually have a point to my side of my argument. Chefs and restaurant sure doesn't know much about real "sustainability". Although I do agree that some are aware, they cannot change the world. What they want is what they buy. And what they buy has to be sold.

@nwLohmann Consumers can voice their opinions, but restaurants would not just throw the fish the bought and allow the fish freedom.

There are actually people that control what is allowed to be sold. Those are called fish managers. They control which fish population should be reduced in being caught. They are actually the ones that control "sustainability".

Think about it this way, the fishermen wants their business to continue, no one is that stupid to hunt till extinction.

@nwLohmann So that is why, if you see it in the restaurant, eat it. If not you, someone else will. If it is true that the fish population is low, I'm pretty sure the restaurant wouldn't even be able to get a hold of the fish by normal means.
