  • ow may good

  • I still love the hypercube, even I'm more fan of the first and third movie.

    It's something special.

  • cube is the german saw

  • i think if anyone was in this situation, they wouldnt be smart enough to put numbers and figure out a pattern

  • it is less scary when its in a language you don't understand

  • trying to think about the hypercube makes my head hurt

  • I thought Max was doing a front flip when he entered the other room with the girl. I wa like, "Woah! He must be really desperate!"

  • please send my message how this movie ends please please please

  • "ich seh ein mädchen . . . ich geh rein" lol

  • dun understand zz .. but slighty know wth they doing..

  • does anyone know what this song is?

  • i've dont get what an hypercube is D: i've read on wikipedia and such, too complicated. is there a way to explain it easly? does even hypercubes exist or is it just some kind of mathematical form or something?

  • @ECST4C: neither hypercubes nor cubes nor squares actually exist in the real world - they are mathematical concepts. The space we live in has three equivalent dimensions, so that we can easily envision a cube-shaped object (which we call "cube" for short), or a square shape drawn on a flat surface (which we call "square"). The concept of a hypercube is harder to grasp, even if you throw in time as a fourth dimension - because time is intuitively not equivalent to the three "spatial" dimensions.

  • @GeyserToo ok i think i understand! and yes that was the answer i was searching.

  • @ECST4C: Hi again, it turns out my answer to you was incomplete and mistaken. It is totally possible to imagine a "real" hypercube, or rather its surface, as a 3D world made of 8 cubic rooms connected through 24 portals. Then, like in this movie, every room will feel normal, and the only thing that will be odd is that you keep coming back to the same 8 rooms no matter where you go, and some walls will connect to other rooms' floors or ceilings. For a demonstration, see here: watch?v=lLg3oLbwRsQ

  • @ECST4C: So, from the point of view of free roaming on the 3D surface of a hypercube, this movie does make SOME sense. But the problem is that a "real" hypercubical world would only have 8 rooms: the "this" room, the 6 adjacent rooms, and the "other" room, which you can reach by traversing any of the adjacent ones. If you keep going straight, you'll keep visiting the same 4 rooms in a row. If you keep making left turns, you'll visit 3 rooms only. A bit odd, but consistent. Unlike this movie. ^_^

  • @GeyserToo i think i'll never understand this. this is some damn abstract stuff. but what if you made a bigger cube with more rooms and more portals?

  • @ECST4C: The reason why I like the "roaming" thing better than the "tesseract" thing is precisely because it's less abstract: take a video game engine like Portal's, and you can have an interactive experience in a hypercubical world just like that. As for your question, it's about the same as in 3D. The cube is the only regular shape with square faces, and in 4D the hypercube is the only regular "hypersurface" with cubical rooms. If it has a different layout, then it's not actually a hypercube.

  • @ECST4C: Of course it is possible to imagine other worlds, just like in 3D you have other polyhedra than the cube. For example, you can have 5 tetrahedrical rooms with 10 portals, or umpteen icosahedrical rooms with portals galore.

Or irregular sets of cubical rooms. In 3D you can glue 6 cubes onto another one, and get a surface with 30 square faces. In 4D you can glue 8 hypercubes onto another one, and the resulting "hypersurface" world will have 56 rooms with 162 portals (if I didn't mess up).

  • @ECST4C: And then there's the hypersphere, which has no portals at all. Or rather, instead of portals at specific locations (walls), it's the whole space that will appear "curved" -- and that's a lot harder to represent than rooms and portals, in a game engine or otherwise. In the hypercube the rooms would look quite normal ("flat"), it's all in the connections and the number of rooms. You'd expect an infinite number of rooms and doors, but your "universe" is just the same 8 rooms over and over.

  • @GeyserToo shit, you're really smart! at least when it comes to mathematics, but i dont know if you can count hypercubes as mathematics. however, now the question is, whats a hypersurface? and what makes a shape "hyper" anyway? does hyper stand for like "4D"

  • @ECST4C Yeah hyper does stand for 4D pretty much. The fourth spacial dimension is quite difficult to wrap your mind around, if you imagine our 3 spacial dimensions, and how they are all 90 degrees away from each other, the fourth would be at a 90 degree angle to all of them.

  • why not have a 4th space dimension instead?

  • @infoseeker228: You can decide to "have" a 4th space dimension, sure enough. But, as opposed to the 3 dimensions that we live in, this extra dimension will always be somewhat abstract -- beyond the scope of our perception and imagination, in fact. There is no way for me to EVER fully comprehend a tesseract in the same way as a 3D cube drawn on 2D paper. I can only PRETEND to comprehend it. Supersets, projections, etc - you can recite it like poetry, but it just doesn't belong in the real world.

  • @ECST4C: I can't really tell you more because I'm not sure what you're after. If you want to make sense of this movie, then it's enough to know that space and time are messed up, in a lot of counter-intuitive ways, most of which are really plot devices without much scientific substance. If you want to know what a hypercube "really" is, the best I can suggest is keep going back to Wikipedia and such, until it's not "too complicated" any more - and don't try to overinterpret this particular movie.

  • a hypercube is like a cube with one extra dimension: a 4th dimension of either space or time(e.g. : length,width,height,and the 4th co-ordinate).

thing is,no -one can see an actual hypercube because we can only see and be in 3

    dimensions,not in 4.

    simple enough :) ?

  • @infoseeker228: Like I said, all this talk of the 4th coordinate is pure math. Poetry. Simple, maybe, beautiful, perhaps, but devoid of practical sense. The only way to make some practical sense of the hypercube is to see its (hyper)surface as a 3D world, something we can freely roam in and interact with. Basically you have 8 rooms connected by 24 portals in a very specific way (NOT like in this movie). You can see an example here (not perfect, but already very instructive) : watch?v=lLg3oLbwRsQ

  • When i saw the scale of the cube, Then i realize how fucked up hell that could be..

    And Quantum Teleportation Does Exist..

  • @Zoza15

quantum teleportation is the transfer of data at superluminal speeds. Not biological particles. it has nothing to do with "time alterations" this movie is fiction. trust me, ive taken quantum physics 3. i know what im talking about.

  • But aren't data also stored in particles?

Everytime we change data in our PC's we change the order of 1's and 0's and all those changes are made phisically on our HDD, RAM or CPU registers.

So how different would be teleportation of biological particles to teleportation of data if both are particles?

  • I think the lack of uniforms was a real mistake. The prisoners just don't take it seriously without uniforms. Uniforms mean business.

  • Good enough acting to understand whats going on simply by tone and body language.

  • @brt5470 Or you could just, you know... learn a foreign language.

  • on 5:15 notice that if you look into the centre of the square on the floor then it's like it's going deeper...that is .. if u know what i mean ...

  • very very very godd

  • This whole movie reminds me of a multiplayer map from the first Halo with a bunch of teleporters that I always got lost in.

  • German ! ! ! Deutsch ! ! ! -.-

  • Well, for myself I prefer it in german/spanish. Simply because Im tired of watching nearly every movie or whatever here on youtube in english. So its pretty diversified. Just get used to it or take a translator, buy the film or whatever and stop complaining. We have to put up with this aswell. More often.

Quantenteleportation - Interessant.

  • You is a chinese county. Tube from latin tuba uterina. So yeah its english? =D You should first think where things come from before you insult people with your missing knowledge and comment ;)

  • technically a translation of the word "youtube" into german would render us "durohr" or "ihrrohr". the english word "you" in german can mean du (singular) or ihr (plural) and the german word "Rohr" can mean "tube" or "pipe". "Tube" in german only has the meaning of "squeezable container" for ie toothpaste. nevertheless as usually with proper nouns we leave the word youtube untranslated (who'd use a system called "Fenster" (windows) by "Kleinweich" (Microsoft) XD)

    happy now? :)

  • I think english pronouns were developed seperately from Chines place names ;)

  • I prefer my movies to be original sound, not dubbed

  • i speak every language but i do like it when it is english better

  • endlich, endlich ein guter film in deutsch. und alle anderen heulen rum =D so geil

  • Comment removed

  • lol only words i understood were hello game show and hypercube the rest was gibberish and uh behemoth yea last time i checked america won the wars :P

  • you mean england son shine, and as your understaning what im writing remember your reading ENGLISH

  • this move is so stupid! it wasn't scary at all when I watched it on demand! shit I was laughing through the hole dam thing

  • agree

  • finally thank you for agreeing with me on that movie

  • i agree three

  • 100% agree too

  • not even little bit scary i think this is some drama or scifi not horror

  • Just like every wannabe horror movie that comes out in the US

  • I think it came out in Canada, not in the US. I know the first one did.

  • I love This Film x3333 I have luck that i can Germany hehee ^^

  • at least with subs...

  • does the kid have a 'mythbusters' tshirt??

  • I might upload a English version if i get a copy of it and learn how to do it.

  • MADE İN TURKEY

  • i am trying to watch the english version >:(

  • what? you cannot speak german?... i think the retard one is... another person... :D

  • so he's a retard because he uploaded it in german? what if he speaks german?

why would he be a retard?

and you tube deleted some of it thats why it is not on here.

  • We have to learn english to watch good movies all the time. You have to sit through 1 in German, do not complain.

As for only half the movie being posted, Youtube deletes videos lots because of copyright

    So ja, du bist "Retard"

  • there are linving 85 Billion people in Germany... don't forget that. germans also don't complain that the most movies are in english. They just watch them ^_^

  • There are 6.7 Billion people in the whole world! And I am norwegian, but i complain when movies are in norwegian, not because i don't understand, but because I'm more used to english movies.

  • what you are norwegian and can't understand you own language o.O

  • I can understand it, but it just doesn't fit in right in a movie. It sound stupid! Songs too.

But still Norwegian is a cool language.

  • well I like it if I don't have to watch movies in english.

I think it's known that germans have this feeling, that they need to syncronizice everything xD

uhm oh well, anyways I like to hear movies in my language, that way I don't have to think too much if I don't get a word or smth.

you said "Songs too" ....Do you translate them into norwegian?

  • We only translate child movies into Norwegian because children don't understand english. We use subtitle, we never dub movies except child movies, and we never translate song. We do not mess with the original language :)

  • ahhhH!!!! now I understand you! xDD

  • I meant * Million ^^

  • When are you uploading part 6?
