compare to other great melee warriors assault terminators are not effective against non daemon type melee warriors like pariahs and hound pack...

summary: terminators are not the most powerful melee warriors in DoW....

@TheMasterTuT assault terminators are not anti demon.... they do 37 dps to medium demon units and 10 to high...... grey knights are anti demon, they do 100 dps to both. also posssesd squads are not demons, their armour type is infantry heavy high (best infantry armour in the game), this proves that assault termies are great aggainst alot of units, and not as you stated demons.

Those damn knockout hammer are scary, but this seems fishy. Tried it mehself and the Possesed didn't fare THAT bad. They should lose, but with a smaller margin.

I have also a suggestion to make duels between elites but with attached commanders, e.g. assault termies with force commander, possesed with chaos lord, ogryns with priest (but without fana), etc.

Not really, there's a POSSESED squad but it has an INFANTRY HEAVY HIGH armour type, not daemon high or medium and as such hammer does as much dmg as to other elite infantry, without any "daemonic" made premies . Lord does almost the same dmg to termies as force to possesed, just hammer stuns enemies when crosius slowers and poisons.

I think u didn't understand me well.

I said that possesed squad have infantry, not daemonic type of armour, I agree with u that possesed even with chaos lord can't beat termies with force. I would also add to your comment that termies receive 50% less morale dmg from all weaponry even out of cover, and have charge speed bonus so possesed have no chance to break termies before melee. Oh, and there's a force commander bonus to morale squad.....

yes, assault termies have:

20% chance to disable combat abilities (4sec),

3% to disable abilities (4secs)

3% to disable movement (4secs)

They hit once per second with a 70%accuracy. If they stun enemy one time, they will keep stunning for the rest of the fighting. If they are lucky, they can outstand every enemy in the game, they can even withstand nightbringer, but I'm not sure about pariahs. And they may be defeated by possesed if they dance out of melee and use daemonic flames (morale).

Actually, a fully upgraded Nobz Squad with powerclaws will often lose because as they lose members, they lose power claws, whereas an assault terminator squad will keep its weapons (which have a %age-chance to stun the enemy), meaning that it's not as obvious an outcome as you might think.

Pariahs in Dark Crusade were overpowered (You could get reinforce time down to 3.3 seconds with just a small number of SPs). In Soulstorm, Assault Terminators and Pariahs are actually fairly equal.

What game is this? Regular DOW or an expanison? In Dark Crusade, the Possessed seems to win this fight, although i've never labbed it, only seen it in the field. So i was a little shocked to see the ownage. But seriously, if the possessed flame them a little first, they win. Always.

reason assault termies win is because of their special attack, each hit disables the enemy for a second or two

The way PSM win is by staying in ranged combat. Use daemonic fire to break ATermies and only enter melee once thats done.

Haha, yeah right man. How could it be rigged? Possessed squads aren't elite units in DoW. Assault terminators are one of the strongest melee characters in the game, they can even take out vehicles (even in fluff with their power hammers)

Possesed squads are strong, but their armor isn't enough to take hits from assault termies. They can probably tangle up regular terminators, but not assault.

possessed are elite in dark crusade and soulstorm and have the same kind of armor (in game) as terminators, but terminators have more hp and 10% melee dmg reduction
