I spent 30 years in the Army combat arms and though I cannot say I loved every moment I can say that I would do it again in a heartbeat. I miss the soldiers and the challenge. A soldier’s life is neither easy nor fair. They pay you to do the dirty jobs because after all if it was easy a civilian would do it. There is nothing on earth stronger than a US army soldier except fort the Rangers Marines Navy Seals Delta Force but they dont count according to the US army

The Marine statement is debatable, and I would hope that Navy SEALs (a special forces unit) would be more well trained than the average Army soldier, considering what they go through. So yes, 14 weeks minimum of basic training for an Army soldier makes them pretty strong.

The Marine statement is debatable, and I would hope that Navy SEALs (a special forces unit) would be more well trained than the average Army soldier, considering what they go through. So yes, 14 weeks minimum of basic training for an Army soldier makes them pretty strong.

@quackdealingduck That would be news to me as i had 15 weeks of training as an infantry recruit at Fort Benning. Not all of those 13 weeks the Marines have are actual combat training. The Marines waste more time on D&C than any other branch. You know they have the second least boot camp fall outs to the air force? The numbers would indicate that the Navy has the hardest boot camp.

Pentagon originally said Marine killed in combat
The Pentagon confirmed late Tuesday that it is investigating the death of a 24-year-old Indiana Marine after he was shot to death in Afghanistan, allegedly by several US-paid private security contractors.
The contractors, according to a fellow Marine in Afghanistan who communicated with an investigative reporter in Chicago, were Afghanis who were found with "copious amounts of opium" and had been paid by the United States as guards.
