  • xT22 and thunderbolt and look under doverpoint1 and select one of MY videos. This ones nice!

  • HURRY THE EERY SIRENS HAVE SOUNDED! GET TO TH.........aw face it look at the sky...were screwed :D

  • did a tornado touchdown?

  • @titanicposeidonfan12 Yes... briefly about a mile away. But it was very weak and was most likely an EF 0.

  • My aunt says since she lives in Iowa they only do it when theres an actual tornado touching down. Is that true?

  • @schildgen1 Polk County's outdoor warning sirens now activate for tornado warnings and for winds in excess of 70 miles per hour. This is a change from the past when a tornado warning (Doppler radar indicated tornado or otherwise) would cause the local Emergency Management offices to trigger the outdoor alarms. A tornado does not have to be physically on the ground to cause the alarms to sound. Doppler radar indicated is enough.

  • I hate the beep of the tornado warning on TV.

  • Growing up in Iowa - now living in the SW - I just remembered this alarm as "take cover - go to the basement"

  • Where in Iowa was this?

  • @Yoshimitsu483 Central Iowa, North of Des Moines

  • The flash of lighting during first part made me jump!

  • Nice All Clear tone wheres theTornado Alert Tone... People got to get to know what tones to use during an emergency,

  • @HyperFoxTails The tone you hear in the video is the alert tone for our area. To the best of my knowledge, there is no designated "all clear".

  • @gene5335 You are correct. There is no "all clear" tone.

  • @HyperFoxTails most towns do not sound an all clear tone what you heard is the standard alert tone for tornado warnings.

  • dude when i was a little girl i used to like cry and hide when i heard sirens go off

  • @falkjfdlkajfdkla dont blame ya, those things are damn scary.. thankfully where i live ive never had to hear one...

  • is that in polk city?

  • Why is it that the xT22 sirens sound more clear and trumpet like, without the noticeable resultant major 3rd harmonic, and just better overall, when it is filmed during an actual weather emergency? Does anyone know what I mean, or am I just imagining things?

  • well i can tell a 2t22 from a 3t22 so it's a 2t22

  • No, you can't. There is no demonstrated difference in tone, pitch, or wind-up between the 2T22 and 3T22, if both are properly functioning. If one of the shutters isn't stuck shut on a 3T22, or it isn't sounding in hi-lo, there is NO way to tell the difference without seeing it. Even if you think you can, you can't.

  • Comment to Siren1000T1.

    You mean a 2T22/3T22.

And you keep calling it a XT22.OK.

  • XT22 is how you say "2T22/3T22."

  • To samlowry5611:

When someone says XT22 they mean 2T22/3T22. Most of the time one cannot tell if it is a 2T22 or a 3T22 unless it can be seen in the video.

  • TSMaster5150 is correct.

  • 2t22

  • how far away was the siren from where you were filming?

  • Best guess. The siren is about .25 to .5 miles away from where I was filming.

  • Comment removed

  • Nice video. Pretty scary clouds. And that tornado siren is a 2T22/3T22.

  • That sounds like a XT22 tornado siren.
