hey ive just started to watch your videos and i just want to say your great at what you do, i admire your modesty and your ability speaks for itsself.
very cool and inspiring and thats alot these days :)
Oh God!! I love this solo!!! And you do it perfectly!! Jesus you're really good!! You rule! Go to see my videos if you have just a little bit of time!! Greetings from Italy!!
tja, fett nice du spelar haha :D skulle lätt kolla in ditt band live men, har du nå tips för hur man gör fett nice whammy effects och pinch harmonics tips? :d 5/5
you´re just sick!!!!! my godd!! i play like for about 3 years now..but you, man are just absoloutley amazing....and i´m used to criticize a lot other people´s playing...but you´re just incredible....it´s honestly the best sound i´ve heard from an ibanez by a novice (if i shall say)...and i´ve heard you play by ear..so ...holly crap!! haha ...question...: are u using any pedals¿? i´m on my way to buy one...so i coud use some advice :P
brilliant solo, the best sonata solo cover i have seen so far on youtube! You played it with great feel and clarity and not just went through the motions like most of the guitarists on here. Congrats
I think as thick as possible, basically, You want the pick to be nice and stable in Your hand against the string, and not flipflop like a fish tail... My picks are 1.5mm
Yep, they're really small, and really heavy. It was a weird transition for me going from my usual standard dunlop tortex picks to the Jazz III's, but I couldn't be any more satisfied. They're really great all-around picks, especially if you want to play things like in this video.
*lol* clever language ;) It's basically just an ascending minor scale, and I start over after a beat and a half and go all the way, it would sound pretty simple played slow...
Hi! Depends on Your taste. Maple fretboards = more top end and attack, and H/H versus H/S/S pickup configuration. I love the tone of rosewood fretboards, and of Hot Rails pickups so the decision was easy for me.
man i really need to have a say right now: the thing is.. your shreddings sound so brilliant... so warm and so i dont know how to call it.. almost "sweepy".. i hope you know what i mean ^^
man is that your pickup or what the hell^^
as i am using the PODxt too i'll be interested in the soundpatch as well to achieve such kind of sound *laughs*
Yeah, a lot of it has to do with the pickup I've chosen. The HR-101b (my neck pickup) really has a wonderful sound for shredding, You lose a lof of pick scrape and just have that wonderful mudwrestling noise.
Of course a lof has to do with picking technique and coordination of left and right hand, and also the guitar tone itself, but the pickup is a large part of it.
I'm glad I found your video, it helped me get some fretwork done.. although I'd still appreciate some help on the tuning, and the exact frets you're using, 'cause the guitar pro tabs really suck..
Can't really help You on the exact frets I'm using, I'm afraid. I never use tabs, I just try and figure out the solos as I go along, and end up with something that's almost like the original, but still my own...
I know what you mean. I was going to put up Wickerman by Iron Maiden about 3 monthes ago but I didn't like the way it turned out and I still haven't had time to redo it. But thats the way life is.
POD to PC via USB connector, the POD is acting as my soundcard (Set through Windows control panel) - I open the Gearbox Software and run my POD from there.

So, what is the best pick thickness for playing stuff like 15:00-End?
Or... Does the thickness make any difference at all?
CheezeFox 3 years ago
Hi!
I think as thick as possible, basically, You want the pick to be nice and stable in Your hand against the string, and not flipflop like a fish tail... My picks are 1.5mm
GryphonGuitar 3 years ago
Thanks, I'll try to look for some of those.

CheezeFox 3 years ago
Yep, they're really small, and really heavy. It was a weird transition for me going from my usual standard dunlop tortex picks to the Jazz III's, but I couldn't be any more satisfied. They're really great all-around picks, especially if you want to play things like in this video.
