  • @wildbill23c. I agree with you about who cares. All my comment was trying to get across is the fact that just because a person bought a certain brand of product does not make it the best thing made. Everything has its good and bad, strengths and weaknesses. Like the last guy posted that his IH scout schooled the John Deere gator. Which gator did he school. I doubt it was the 825i. Then again his rzr schools everything. If his rzr schools everything why the hell does he need the scout.

  • The funniest thing about comments is that no matter what you have, somebody always has hauled more, gone faster, climbed higher, traveled further, dropped theirs from a helicopter from 15,000 feet then poured gasoline all over it, lit it on fire and pushed it off the edge of a cliff then got back on it started it up again and it still looked and drove just the same as the day they took it out of the showroom, but yours won't do that.

  • @2010mfgc2400

Everyone has their brand preference so who cares. Seriously you can do all the reviews you want but everyone has their own opinion on everything. Personally I don't care how fast they go, how much they haul or tow, its about how reliable the machine is overall which seems that every review skips over. There isn't a single review out there on an ATV or UTV say 5 years down the road, if its still running, the overall repairs or maintenance performed etc.

  • The shift linkages in these things are junk, other than that its okay....

  • this thing is absolute shit..... trust me i have one.. its been in the shop more than it has been riden.... a complete waste of money

  • no one has mentioned yet how good the John Deere Gator XUV's are.

  • @TheGatorfun now they suck^. our case ih scout schooled the gator. then our polaris rzr schools everything but isnt fun to work with. and thats y we hav the scout

  • i own a 09 polaris ranger HD, it has more towing and payload capabilities than a cub cadet volunteer. I thought cub cadet went out of business? no matter they still cant stand up to a Ranger!!

  • @Strasburg57812

I am not so certain about at.. I had polaris rangers including the 6x6 and they were always in the shop.

Busted or bent frames and suspensions hauling 2/3 max load capacities. Engine heads gaskets leaked.

Both my CC volunteers have never seen the repair shop .

Granted i use my machines daily with 10+ 1200+lbs loads or more a day.

The funny thing in all this is that it's my polaris dealer that bought my other volunteer, and covered the logos with ductape.

  • @cobalt120

My ranger is also used daily on the farm, hauling as much, if not more than ur volunteer. Ive never had any issue with it. But to each there own i suppose

    That is entirely possible.

I suppose it depends where you are located. I've had a couple polaris atvs that were incredible and reliable.

I think they send the lemons up here. A couple years ago i bought a new X2 500 . I had it a few days before it locked up.

Block housing for the exit drive bearing was split. " Manufacturing defect", i got my money back.

You can't come and tell me that some one missed at Poalris missed such a big and obvious problem.

  • You people know nothing about what you're talking about. The Cub has a higher payload capacity as well as higher towing capacity standard than any other manufacturer on the market in the side by side utility vehicles. Also, look at the warranty coverage. Most companies offer 6 months or 1 year where the Cub has 2 complete years. Do your research before you knock something.

  • I have to agree.

After a couple years researching & trying utvs. I bought CC volunteer 850D.

It uses some of the best components, that makes it very reliable and the front differential is physically locked . When you go 4wd it really is 4x4.

The cons of the volunteer are

#1: Not fast, however if you want speed get an rzr

#2: It's wide at 63" . However that can be a bonus as well.

  • @tdd32tay

and funnily enough, a Cushman Turf Truckster will still haul nearly double what this thing does.

  • I would get a rhino over this. Cub cadet is low quality compared to the rhino.Yamaha makes way better stuff

  • Saw one of these at the Bass Pro Shop in LV. Looks like a very solid rig. Priced about the same as the rest too.

  • yeah we have shitloads of the at the BP down here in rancho.they have really good power.

  • i would get a gator, ranger or bobcat over this
