@kocots1991 What sound are you going for? Bonham recorded with his Green Sparkle 3-ply Maple Kit on almost all of the Zep Albums! But set up right, the Vistalites are the LOUDEST and there's no mistaking that Bonzo sound with a 26" Vistalite bass thundering in the background!! Matter of personal taste really...

@STEVEROARKE Yeah, I'm proud to say I own them all. Through good fortune and a seriously diminished savings account, I went off the deep end with purchasing all my dream kits (aka Bonham kits). Most of them I found on craigslist for very affordable prices. A couple came from e-bay. I just decided a couple years back to give it a go with whatever I could find and enjoy em for a while. At this point though, I can't see them going anywhere. I love em all too much at this point.

@troubleforu69 E-Bay and Craigslist. There was a huge surge in availability of these old kits a couple years ago. I still check from time-to-time, and haven't really seen as much out there as of late. However, I have no doubt that they'll come around again at some point.

@mariorossipuzza I went a little off the deep end when I decided to pursue a career in music about a year ago. Between some good fortune in finding these kits and then digging deep into my savings account, I do have most of the kind of kits that John Bonham used throughout his career. I'm missing the natural blonde maple kit that he used in the early days, and the stainless steel kit I own aren't Bonham sizes (14 x 24 instead of 14 x 26; 10 x 14 instead of 12 x 15) but I love 'em all!

@Aspergian I've always appreciated the nice words you've left on some of my videos, Aspergian. You've gotta get that beast of a kit you have into a nice big open room and upload some more videos of your playing. All you have is a big ol' tease of that rack tom right now. You've got to capture that thing in all it's glory!
