  • i had these when i was lil

  • Awesome! My friend and I raced ours at a mall at one of their races. His Dad cut the chassis of two record breakers in half and glued the ends with the motors together. So they had a 4 engine record breaker. They raced it on the straight away drag strip they had at the mall and it was insanely fast. The record breakers employees were blown away so they gave him a free track.

  • I just bought the Green car from ebay.

  • thats a tamiya mini 4wd knock off

  • Hey Guys - I just posted a vid of the old TV show. It should show up here in the"Video Responses", but if not just search for 'Record Breakers Toy Cars TV Show'.

  • I had these as a kid with Figure 8 track.

  • record......8 track.....ho ho.

  • lol awesome!!! sweet memories!!!

  • These are one of my favorite toys as a kid. Such a cool concept and they used to have a show on Saturday mornings that gave you tips on how to race you record breaker. I remember some kid saying that you could use a pencil eraser and use it on the battery contacts for better performance. Tamiya produces cars like this too.

  • I still have one of my many... I raced mine at a mall once, but mine kept flying off the track so I lost most of the races all the other cars the owners ran then outside and got debris in the motors so they were slow enough to stay on the track... mine only won two of the races and it was because the tire fell off and slowed it down enough to keep it on the track, lol

  • These were great. Me and my friend would race ours against each other's but they'd get damaged since we didn't have a track or long enough garden hose (garden hose worked great as a way to contain them) so we'd just race them in a parking lot. I also remember the Record Breakers show with Jesse Ventura airing in 1989 and 1990.

  • NUMBER EEEEEIGHT!!!!!

  • I had these as a kid. They were too fragile for as fast as they went. Mine didnt' last long. My Hyper Drivers survived much longer.

  • I had the super badass dual turbo series.(had to engines, must mean it's twice as fast right) i thought i was all hot shit until my friends little brother's ugly ass hyperdriver whooped it. anyone remember the record breakers competition that aired weekly on family channel?

  • those things were cool as hell. kinda went too fast tho, i broke mine the first day i got it

  • Epic. Just epic. I wanted those so bad when I was a kid. Never did get one.

  • i fu[king loved these little cars wheen I was a kid. They took them off the market in a very short time... i wonder why...
