Ok, aside from the fact that the tank is amazing, this video is awesome. I have come back and watched it like 5 times now. The song is great, the tank is great, the video is great, and the way you put it all together makes it so much better all together. I wish you had more like this, I wish everyone did!
i want a tank like this.. please teach me..my tank is 15" 15" its about 10g also.. using hanging filter.. 1 nano protein skimmer and 16watt lighting..is it enough to make a tank like this.. now there are 2 nemo and 4 feather duster.. they live about 3 weeks already.. i add 1 pot coral but its dead in 3 days..now my tank is full of algae.. trying to solve the problem soon.. teach me please.. thanks
@cahernand1 yes....it was way more than I actually needed since the tank was mostly soft coral. I had a monti cap in there and a birdsnest (put in after the video). The light did provide me with good color on my corals though.
@hhinojosareef1 Thanks! Nope. This one has been taken down. I had too many tanks going at one time and got burned out. It was combined into my 35g...which has also now been taken down. I'm in the process of setting up a nano-cube 12DX (the ONE and ONLY tank I will be maintaining). I'll have videos of that one eventually. It's still cycling. I'm glad I have the video of this 10g. It lives on in videoland.
@thurrmac I use a two part, alk and calcium, B-ionic. Dosing according to the instructions. For magnesium I just use a good salt with high magnesium. D-D H2O.
gena i have a 10g tank and it looks nuthing like this :| infact all my fish died from white spots :{ and im very lost?? i live by the ocean in the bahamas so i dnt mix my water, i just steal it from the beach :P and i see little life in my tank and its been active for a month... please help :<
this is the best 10 gallon reef tank i have ever seen great job keep up the good work iam thinking of setting up a 10 gallon reef tank with a 20 gallon sump just for the hell of it i think it will be cool when its done but not as good as yours though. happy reefing
i love all the polyps u have and all the colors i have the same lighting on my 20 gallon its goood for softies but is limited on hard corals keep going it must be expensive tho
That is a fucking nice fish tank. Very beautiful. Someday I hope to have something similar. I just hope I can keep up on it. Seems like a lot of work.
Are you sure it's not just evaporation? Do you top-off your tank everyday with fresh water (no salt) to compensate for the evaporation? I put in about 1-2 cups of freshwater everyday.
yah thts def evaporation... just add declorinated (destilled) fresh water and u should be good.. salt does not evaporate so ur salanity may be high if ur water is low
@tvshowuploader3 sorry for the LATE response!!!!! zoas do fiine with strong flow...sometimes it takes them a little bit to get used to it though. Just give them time.
I've moved some things around, taken things out...put them in another tank, bought new things and put them in here...plus the growth has been amazing! It's time for an updated video :) I LOVE the firefish too...he's the greatest fish I've ever had!
I don't. I do weekly 2.5 gallon water changes, without missing :) I have just taken off the chiller from this tank. I replaced the koralia pump with the vortech mp10...so the motor is now out of the tank+less heat=no chiller needed!
I do use a chiller. It only kicks in on really hot days though. This is the tank's first summer :) I appreciate your great feedback! I plan to do another video soon. I've had quite a bit of growth since this one was filmed and some new additions as well.
OH MAN!! Nice tank. I love all your zoos. I wish I could have zoos. I used to but they all died. So maybe in a few months I can get more again. And man, I want to get some ricordeas. Great tank!! I have a 10 gal nano too.
Thanks! Ricordeas are super easy to keep. Good lighting, good water chemistry, and you are good to go :) I have a mini carpet nem. It decided to make it's home behind a rock at the back of the tank. I couldn't get a good shot of it. There's only one quick shot of it in the video. The male sexy shrimp spends almost all of his time in it.
