Your replying to something I said 2 years ago? LMAO! I can say what I want to say, and don't give a shit if you think it's a piss poor comment. I said I think that Keith is a great Guitarist. It's not like I didn't say anything nice. After listening to his horrific vocals in this video, you must have a tin ear if you really think he sound good. His vocals suck ass in the range of Peter Cetera.
That solo SUCKED check out the one with the original guitarist. This guy can hardly play, Duwayne Bailey was incredible with them. I've seen them 3 times and this guy is NO lead guitar player.
are u kidding?? keith sings it better than jason sheff!! except i have to agree with the really high part jason should have sang that but keith is better than jason at this song in my opinion
Keith should have sung the main parts and then Jason should hgave taken over the uptempo high tenor part. just my opinion though. It would have been a nice duet.
I was just in the process of writing that they finally found a song that Keith sounds half decent on - then the high parts at 1:50 came along and shot that idea to hell.
so if they are only playing Kansas, no one has to show up? where is everybody? when it gets down to Keith singing, it truly is a cover band. where's walt?
WHo are the other guys in this video anyway?? Are they understudies? I've seen the guy playing sax on other videos before -- and it sure as hell ain't Walt Parazaider. Just curious. Thanks.
Take the band for what it is now and that isn't too shappy but Chicago ceased to exist in 1978. It is unfair to compare. There is a chemistry and period of time that will never be repeated. Peter Cetera wasn't the heart of CHicago, all seven orginal members were together. Peter could come back and it still wouldn't be Chicago.
Two decades from now, some woman will be singing lead on Hard to Say I'm Sorry in a band playing "The Music of Chicago". And people will stand up and cheer, because they like the music. We are witnessing the path heading toward that road, it is just painful to accept, because age catches up with everyone.
Yes, I understand your point...and you are right. But right now, we have 4 original band members and the others were "hand picked" by the band. They ARE Chicago. 20 Years from now...most of us wont be around anyway. Take the Beach Boys...they are touring with just Mike Love ... now that is pathetic!
The people who judge have never been to a live show. They judge the sound based on the sound layed down by a cell phone video camera. C'mon guys...go to the live show THEN judge. I was at the show and it sounded great.
Seen Chicago about 25 times since 1975. Terry, Peter, Danny, Laudir, Donnie D., Chris P., Jason, Dawayne, Tris, and Keith....So the cell phone recording has nothing to do with it. The guy has a Holiday Inn voice, at best.
Sounds almost like the record? Are you smoking crack? I really wish people would stop kissing Keith's ass telling him that he sounds great singing on these songs when in fact he sounds horrible. Get off his dick, and start telling the truth, people.
Exactly. It's like comparing a Rolls Royce to a Yugo. Listen to the vocals near the end of the song. Keith is not a lead singer, he sounds horrible, and Chicago should not let him sing. That is a band who has always been known for it's great vocals actually has the nerve to let this fool sing lead vocals? He's a great Guitar player, but I feel really ripped off as a fan hearing his piss poor vocals. Bottom Line... Keith can't sing in Cetera's Range at all.
It's not the original, but a helluva lot better than the late 80's and 90's... I'd take it...

Yeah, no.. Good try though!

Do you have a set list from this concert? Did Lee get to do any vocals? I love it when they let him sing.

Check out my other videos. The one titled Lee Solo Better Version is from this show. It's not bad. I got really close for it.

I like Keith's voice when he's singing in his range, which is closer to Bill's than Jason's.
Like Jolly Old St Nicholas. Yet on XXX they didn't do any Keith leads in his range at all.

The real Chicago is turning into a cover band of the real Chicago. Hahahaha

I agree with you. I've been to a few Chicago concerts where I've felt ripped off because I had to sit through this guy singing.
