@silverfistful Fullerene mesh would basically be something a bit like Graphite mixed with diamond (Strong in one direction, presumably the direction facing outwards, weaker in the otherr directions)

@spacehelmetforacow update! in "for whom the bell tolls" harper mentions rommie's skyn is made of monocarbide netting and he has great big sheets of it. looked up "monocarbide" apparently there's a few things that can be monocarbide, silicone and tungsten, etc. it's some kinda nano tech!! we may never be certain EXACTLY what fullerene plating is ;}

@silverfistful but fullerenes (technically their full name is Buckminsterfullerenes, but that takes too long to say), are always carbon (They're carbon atoms arranged in a molecule that looks like a Geodesic dome or a soccer ball).
