Any strong nationalists and republicans should realise we need to be part of a strong international union regarding all aspects of Irish life. We gained freedom, now we are free to take part in the wider world. You can be a staunch nationalist and also proud participant in Europe.
if you vote yes you are taking a nife a stabing patrick perse in the back spiting on the proclimtion of the irish republic all the martyers would have died for noting plese people just listen to me i am only 15 and i have strong nationalistic views so speak up do you want to be irish or europiean

SAY IT AGAIN!! AND SAY IT LOUDER!!!!! I am from germany, I hope and "pray", wish and I am on my knees, that you VOTE NO!!! please irish galant people, SAVE OUR SOULS!!! freedom is everything!! pro europe, contra lisbon treaty!
YES vote = no way back, we can't undo mistakes made in the treaty or the EU, our say in EU is halved. Some countries say is doubled.
NO vote = we are still in the EU, like we are now, and the EU must be more accountable to the people of Europe. It stops the runaway power of the EU parliament and its gravy train expenses.
The mature thing is to stand up and tell EU to correct the problems, not to give in to the accusing tut-tutting of EU politicians trying to tell us we should be embarrassed.
The people of Europe are asking us to stand up for them so they too can be asked for a vote on this. They didn't even get a vote, they were ignored, just as our first vote was ignored and we were scolded like children. This is how more and more decisions affecting this country will be made, without us being asked. We are the people of Europes only voice, if you vote NO you are letting the people of Europe speak again, allowing them back into this process. A decision they were barred from.
Xenophobia, Fear-mongering, and down-right lies. A little on each...
Xenophobia: Is there something wrong with the free movement of people, goods and services within the EU? It has served the growing Irish economy and Irish society well. Breath of fresh air, etc.
Fear-mongering: Turkey cannot become a member of the EU unless every state agrees. This was true pre-Lisbon, and will be true post-Lisbon
Lies: The legally binding guarantees are legally binding. Saying they aren't is simply false.
Xenophobia = an unreasonable fear or hatred of foreigners or strangers or of that which is foreign or strange.
If it is Xenophobic for people to be concerned about their economy, their society, their identity. Then I fear the majority are in that category.
Turkey - The EU are already in talks with Turkey. Can you or anyone GUARANTEE a self amending treaty, cannot be changed in order to allow Turkey to join somewhere down the line?
Legally binding guarantees! Two words - Maastricht Treaty.
Yes it is possible to maintain indentity alongside others. We have seen this in alot of Western countries no doubt. Only problem is those countries now don't simply have an open door policy unlike the EU. Canada, USA, NZ, OZ all require that you bring something to their societies in order to benefit that nation. Not simply allow anbody over their borders regardless of qualifications, social or political intent. Economies work on supply and demand. If this is Xenophobic,my apologies for I am one.
Im not caling you Xenophobic - I know nothing about you. But the video is clearly preying upon the fear of outsiders (the explanation of that fear can be whatever you want). The free movement of goods and workers within the EU has been conditional upon work. We are free to move and work, but there is no automatic entitlement to state support upon arrival. Non-Irish EU Nationals must bring something to Ireland - their willingness and ability to work. That's something Irish people could learn from
I'm sorry. But how come then you have unemployed migrants claiming social welfare. While working for cash, getting paid €50/60 per day, rates Irish citizens would never work for! Why are there gypsies from the Eastern block begging at ATM machines, cleaning my windscreen when I stop at traffic lights. Why were 3 out of 4 people on Crimewatch all Foreign Nationals (stabbing, fraud, assault). I lived and worked out of this country for 11 years, paid my way, never claimed a thing! What could I learn?
I dont even think most no voters share your views. Anyway, yes or no tomorrow, your concerns shall remain, so I guess you will just have to suffer on...or move somewhere else where there are fewer foreigners!
I have been out canvassing for the NO vote and I have to say the majority or no voters do share my concerns. Alot of whom mentioned migration to me and not vice versa. But you are correct, regardless of a yes or no tomorrow my concerns will remain. Bosnia looks good right now. Take it easy. Peace
Yes to democracy, No to the E.U. Half of our country would only be too happy to end Ireland forever, while embrassing this twisted new world order. If they tried this in the near past, all of these politicians would be dead by now. Now there's an idea...
Cool video, Minister Cowen has proven he cannot be trusted as he claims to have faith in incompentent people like Rodney Molloy, Peter McLoone in FAS goldenhandshake and expense fraud. Minister Coughlan is a clown and is being exposed as a puppet.
NO SIDE: Shinners, Ganley, Socialists, Coir, Eirigi, UKIP, Le Pen, BNP.
YES SIDE: all international chambers of commerce, most independent economists, 3 main political parties, IFA, IBEC, SIPTU, ICTU, most major trade unions, Pfizer, Ryanair, Intel, Microsoft.
dont let those dirty politic bastards bribe us into something we dont even know about!!!! vote no!!! and if this result is YES we have to fight against them,it would be rigged in that case. start a revolution against those bastards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If we vote NO...we and Europe have nothing to lose.
We are still in the EU as equal partners.... if we are treated as a lesser partner, then everyone will know that the EU is a sham and corrupt. There will be uproar in every country. They will be treating a country as a lesser partner on foot of a legitimate vote. Do they respect the voting process or not? Do they respect the voting voice of a people be it yes or no?
A NO vote will clean the EU, making it better, stronger and freer for all.
NO SIDE: Shinners, Ganley, Socialists, Coir, Eirigi, UKIP, Le Pen, BNP.
YES SIDE: all international chambers of commerce, most independent economists, 3 main political parties, IFA, IBEC, SIPTU, ICTU, most major trade unions, Pfizer, Ryanair, Intel, Microsoft.
Well i wont be trusting any one on the yes side. Micheal O leary said no the last time to the same treaty When he went to buy Aer lingus the EU blocked him. Now he says YES and when he goes to buy Aer lingus no one will stand in his way. The three main Parties are Facist/Nazis FG Traitors FF and communists Labour. SO I AM SAYING NO TO LISBON
Well I voted NO last time, and i will be voting No again this time. What kills me though is that the Irish people will go out and vote Yes this time because the way the economy is at the moment. The government have put fear into people, then try to deny it, but that is exactly what they are doing. Drives me crazy! Also, a lot of the Irish people have no idea what it is even about. The most common answer i get back If I ask someone what they are going to do is. I dunno, what's it about?? VOTE NO!
great video well done, the message is clear, no to tyranny, and I hope those who are thinking of voting yes know they will have to live with themselves, afterwards.
Look at the wonderful economic partnership in the great EU. Look at how Germany secured OPEL jobs at the expense of Belgian jobs.
Vote YES if you want to be the underdog in Europe! Vote YES if you want to reduce Irelands voting rights. Vote YES if you are fed up of democracy.
Fine Gael said to vote yes because Irish politicians are crap (we knew that). I don't see the point in them running for elections. We need competent leadership not dictatorship.
Common Fisheries Policy was a disaster. The Fisheries Commisioners openly admit it and it is up for review now. So hopefully we'll be in a strong position to negotiate.
We're not all fishermen though and an EU market of 500 million people for our trade and businesses should make up for the monkfish.
And what of the rest of the worlds population with which we can trade flangerful? I hardly think that the strenghtening of the Euro has helped high value exports to places like the US do you? A lot of our exports are high value goods to markets outside the EU. Waterford crystal is a good example.
"Common Fisheries Policy was a disaster". You got that right. At least fisherman employ people and pay them very well. Farmers aren't big employers or payers.
What are you talking about, aren't we in the EU already? Aren't countries supposed to be allowed disagree and have vetoes when there is something that is very wrong for their countries.....without being looked down upon and made to feel that they are doing something wrong.
If that doesn't exist in the EU, then what is the EU doing?
Politics also involves strong leadership who refuse to sign treaties, if they are not for the benefit of the people. The serve the electorate and not foreign powers.
I would rather have shrewd negiotiators than goodwill. The time for goodwill is after the negotiations and deal signing.
Corruption is what has Ireland ruined. It cannot be taken lightly.
All Ireland needs is good leadership and a team of forensic accountants. It certainly does not need Lisbon on false economic grounds.
I'm delaying a Holiday so i can Vote NO on Oct 2nd. Please help stop the European juggernaught and restore pride to this great country of ours, which has one of the newest and finest Constitution in the world.
I really am VERY annoyed that we have to vote on this piece of trash yet again. The government is just a puppet! Our laws are useless already! This will be the final nail in the coffin. We are the only people with a say! I really hope that it's another NO! Even if it's 5 votes! EVERYONE PLEASE GO OUT AND VOTE NO. No to the european super state, to the dictatorship! No to losing our rights as citizens of Ireland. We are Irish. Don't forget what went into this country. VOTE NO.
Vote no, why you have to be fooled? You said no to this europe and to this treaty which brings only militarization and lobbism! This is not democracy!
Exactly. A NO vote will bring the Brussels elite down to earth with a bang and will hopefully steer it back on track to be the democratic institution it was meant to be.
Do we really want to dig ourselves in deeper to the undemocratic bully that is the EU?
I support a democratic and accountable EU.
The EU is slowly going downhill with every new treaty. If the whole deal was put on the table at the beginning there would be no takers.
If we vote NO...we and Europe have nothing to lose.
We are still in the EU as equal partners.... if we are treated as a lesser partner, then everyone will know that the EU is a sham and corrupt. Irish, vote NO. Not only will you save the independence of Ireland, but also the independence of Poland and other countries, where a chance to say "NO" wasn't given to the people.
i was on hols last time with all my family and unfortunately could not vote NO. I'm back now and we cant wait to vote no. down with this government, down with the EU , god save our country from the fat cats of Europe... it is a corrupt Europe full of greedy fat basta*ds. fu*ck them all.. vote no for your children's future.. NO, NO, BLOODY NO..
Voting NO to Lisbon is not only rejecting a treaty but rejecting certain destruction of every thing our past generations fought for! Nationalism, freedom of speech, democracy and a right to exist as a people ethnically, culturally and spiritually!!
Imagine asking an American to give up the protection of the constitution? I know what he would say.
Why do we get a vote on Lisbon? Because our constitution does not give the government carte blanche to crap on you. Don't throw away rights and protections that the rest of Europe wish they had.
Rejecting Lisbon is NOT leaving the EU. They are bound by rules as much as us. SAY NO!
People forget that a YES vote not only ratifies Lisbon, but it is a green light to scrap our constitution. The very thing that is protecting them from dictatorship and abuse. The very document that protects them from bad government and big business. They are giving up the freedoms and protection which was fought for with blood.
I saw a comment. "If it is so bad why do all the parties want it except SInn Fein."
Because it protects us from them! It protected the homes of our elderly.
The enemies of Ireland are pulling out all the stops , with former leaders , media personalities , business leaders , unions , farmers groups , all getting behind the illegal yes campaign !
today the government announced a huge number of possible new taxes , including a carbon tax , except it wont apply to beef farmers , the largest polluters in Ireland , they dont want to upset the farmers before the vote ,
You nailed it perfectly two years ago bud! Sadly, same rings true today for Ireland :(

Xenophobia: Its possibly to maintain an identity alongside others. There are no clear economic concerns expressed in the video.
Turkey: All members need to approve of the introduction of another member. Any change on that would require a new referendum.
Self-amending treaty: Only on specific voting issues. It cannot affect the competences of any individual institution or membership issues
Guarantees: See Denmark on Maastricht (Same method of creating guarantees which were binding and obeyed)

Voting NO to Lisbon is not only rejecting a treaty but rejecting certain destruction of every thing our past generations fought for! Nationalism, freedom of speech, democracy and a right to exist as a people ethnically, culturally and spiritually!!
Sovereignty is sacred, dont give it away!!
VOTE NO!!

Letting a non-European country into the EU is an act of treachery. I suppose everyone has recieved their state-issued propaganda in the post?

Great vid !
The enemies of Ireland are pulling out all the stops , with former leaders , media personalities , business leaders , unions , farmers groups , all getting behind the illegal yes campaign !
today the government announced a huge number of possible new taxes , including a carbon tax , except it wont apply to beef farmers , the largest polluters in Ireland , they dont want to upset the farmers before the vote ,
just say NO !
