The Ipod interface comes up when you plug this system into your Ipod with a wire that is provided. Once your Ipod is attached, you can see your Ipod screen on the DVD screen. Hope this helps.

I went to the store where they were selling it (PC Richard & Son) and the mechanic installed it. He took out the original cd player and installed this, this in-dash DVD player is actually thinner than the CD player I had originally in my car. So, the mechanic used harnesses for Honda Accord to secure the In-dash DVD player.

i just got one of these installed it myself and im a little disappointed. the sub level only goes from -14 to 0 and the vol level only goes to 40. i have two solo baric 15s and with my old pioneer p80mp i didnt have to turn the gain half way and it was bumpin now wverything is to the max and it only sound good with a high quality disc. and also to fix the shifter problem i just selected the manual option on the tft settings. other than that its the best head unit ever! not! anybody wanna buy it?

im not sure how diff a 3000gt is from a eclipse, but my buddy has a 96 or 97 eclipse and we got the same in dash player, you just have to get a dash kit and it will replace the stereo, what sucks is where your heater controls are, or the vents they might end up behind the screen. just make sure you close the vents if theyre behind it.

i just noticed you asked about the shifter being in the way, usually they have a sensor if something is in the way they stop and close, also you can set it to not open on power up, then you shift into drive and open it, then before you park just close it.

I think the mitsubishi 3000 has a smaller interface....this might not fit in it...u can get free estimates from the installers...if i am not mistaken...the interior of ur mitsubishi is curved...so it might be a little tedious but the mechanics might be able to find a way around it...good luck...

mine has a white wire that connects to the mp3 player.....urs should have the white wire too...

mine has a brain box so go back to the installer and ask if/where they put the brain box. i had to buy a wire that went from that to my ipod on the bottom and my ipod shows up on the screen.

im not sure who your asking but ya they should work in every car, unless your stock stereo controls some of the car options, i know my buddies monte carlo does that. i installed mine but im not sure about this guy.

mine was installed for free from the place i bought it from. It doesn't take too much time, just unplug the old stereo and plug this baby in, just have to mind the proper connection of the wires.

i complained cause mine sticks up above the dash in my car, but i guess thats better then having the screen block the heater controls, and it kinda sucks the vents are right behind it. still looks nice. I got another question for you is that model touch screen?

there is a secret menu that comes up when u press 9876543210 with the remote. From there you can find the link to override the brake system. (i will do more research on the sequence of numbers if it doesn't work for you)

im not sure about the code, there is a pink wire on the back of the deck that gets hooked up to the e brake, just run that to a toggle switch, and run the toggle switch to any ground. then flip the switch like youd do the e brake. I can post a video if you want, thats how mine is.

That piece came with the box........my original box had a little cover on it too and it was a little bigger.....i thought all of them came with the box so it fits properly!!!

thanks.....we'll i bought this particular model mainly due to budget restrictions, its almost same as a dual just that dual has buttons in the front to control the dvd....other than that i guess its just the price difference....i wish both phase and dual had a usb connection...

Looks nice in the accord dash. I was never much of a phase linear fan. As far as in dash video, i have had pioneer, alpine, dual, clarion, and kenwood. My favorites would have to be between the dual and the alpine(yes i said dual). I might just have to give phase linear aka jensen a try.
