This wasn't intended as a total re-make of the track. Subvert is quite political and I'll bet just wanted to put a lyrically great, meaningful song into his set. To do that all he needed to do was change bpm and put some snares in, not hack the song up to pieces. In my opinion the only drop (from 1:52) is unnecessary as it cheapens the vocals a bit!
