  • My only complaint is that the sopranos kept singing as if they had the melody in the last verse. Let the guys have a turn, darnit!

  • it's absolutely terrific - the control is awesome

  • Although I don't agree with the conductor's choices with keeping it so detached, you certainly did an excellent job. Only other complaint is the pianist's few mistakes. Good job with the alternating time signatures.

  • brixduh - you underestimate the ability of young people. This doesn't surprise me at all. I refer you to such choirs as St. Thomas Choir of Men and Boys in New York City, the Harlem Boy Choir, and numerous others showcasing the abilities of 10-year olds and older. St. Thoms (which I attended) went from 5th to 8th grade, 10-14 years old, and the music is phenomal. There's no earthy reason dedicated hs-ers can't do the same. That said, this is a FANTASTIC performance. BRAVO!!! And thanks.

  • This is a HIGH SCHOOL?!? Congratulations on a job that surpasses by FAR what one would expect for a HS.

  • Thanks for posting this very good version of Gardner's wonderful song, with exceptional energy yet pretty "clean" and clear, which this song needs.

Truly, the timing, with those alternating 2/4 and 3/4 measure pairs makes you earn your stripes, but once you nail it, you feel like you've really accomplished something!

    Live long and prosper.

  • I love the style you have used to sing this piece of music! But, it would be great to have a keyboard witha good pipe organ setting in the background. Love the staccato and syncopation....sing on!!
