I cannot find a tutorial about the "foot roll",I mean that where you move a slider and the foot goes from the heel touching the ground to the tip all in one movement,could you add a tutorial about that please ?
@flapjackman123456789 : Select the top JOINT/NULL. Click the MIRROR tool. Make sure ORIGIN is set to WORLD so it mirrors across the middle of the scene, make sure COORDS is set to VIEW and you have the 3D Window selected so you are looking at the legs from the front...this will mirror based on the viewport you have selected. Make sure CHILDREN is also ticked! Good Luck ;-)
hey nice tutorial, im having a problem, when i do the Middle Controller part, the legs goes crazy, they dont stay still like in the video. they work fine without the controller, can you help me out please?
Dear 3DGameResources, on behalf of the 3D world I'd like to thank you for uploading this great and simple tutorial, but I'm afraid I trip up when it comes to animating. I tried autokeying at first, but the first frame refuses to register (all that happens is that the end joint just lifts a bit without taking the polygons along with it) then I tried keyframing manually and got the same unsatisfactory results. Any ideas?
GREAT TUTORIAL, thanks very much for sharing. I was wondering could you please make a tutorial on how to build an entire skeleton? That's got me really stumped, i.e. I can build a leg rig but I don't know how to link the joints to other joints like abdomen, arms, toes etc.
@ApaKhabar758 : Yeah I will do the top half soon ;-) it's all just basic parenting though, the spine is parented to the hips, the arms are parented to the top of the spine etc.
@PossibleBNProbable : Make sure you set a keyframe for the controllers at frame 0, then at any frames after that as you move/position the controllers.
Man, this is the clearest, coolest, awesomest tutorial about rigging on C4D, thanks a lot !!! I liked that you kept it simple and clear, perfect for an introduction to the subject, just what I was looking for.
Hey thanks for this this tutorial, it really helped explain some things. But how would I go about rigging a pre-existing model making it be able to bend. Like say I have a cylinder type shape, it is possible to add a similar structure as in the video, but have the object react to how to rig is set up, or does it not really work like that...
Hi Thanks for the tutorial great stuff, very easy to understand. I just have a problem I just cannot sort. When i create a goal, i can move it but it moves on its own without effecting the chain. I am in object mode, but still i just cant figure out what i am doing wrong. Any ideas?
@3DGameResources thanks for great tut!
