Good video/info. I didn't know there was a market for it. I don't really get why any American would slam on watching the free market system in action. I think the issue with the shoutout situation is that there are people/channels out there who do that just help out new/good makers of great videos. Rather then people buying shoutouts people should get a shoutout because they are good rather then how much money you have in the pocket. Usually if you make good videos youll get publicity and a shoutout but if you make crap and pay for a shoutout you probably wont get many subbers anyway.

The reason I have a problem with selling shout outs is because a channel should get publicity for its content, not how much money the commentator has. Popular youtubers should use their influence to promote other channels based on content not dollars >..> This community is becoming highly materialistic and ignoring the reason why people make videos in the first place ; for entertainment purposes. There's so many people out there (yourself included Zybak) that I look up to, who are slowly making it so this is their job, and I would love to do the same. Im fairly against this. I don't mind the whole thing much but I really think it is unfair to the channels who are very good but don't have 500$ to throw at someone to get noticed. Athene talked about paying for bots to give you views and subs, I think this is basically the same thing. This is selfish to both parties, as long as either don't claim to be TTTT then I suppose it doesn't matter.

The reason I have a problem with selling shout outs is because a channel should get publicity for its content, not how much money the commentator has. Popular youtubers should use their influence to promote other channels based on content not dollars >..> This community is becoming highly materialistic and ignoring the reason why people make videos in the first place ; for entertainment purposes. Just my opinion about the subject

Man...I would really like to get out there on Youtube. There's so many people out there (yourself included Zybak) that I look up to, who are slowly making it so this is their job, and I would love to do the same. It would be like a dream come true for me. But $500...could be the biggest colossal waste of money spent ever. That is SO MUCH! Ahhhhh it's tempting but I don't feel like that's right.

I don't see why everyone is flipping out other than, they don't understand the process. The thing to realize is people DO quit their jobs to go 'youtubing' full time. That means that under the right conditions, it is possible to make more money doing something you enjoy, or find 'easy' to do than going to work at a job for less than you deserve and being miserable while doing so. No one is going to pay out 500 bucks for something they just started doing. (cont).

Say for example, I pay out 500 bucks for a shout out, and I net an extra couple thousand subscribers via the person that shouted me out. I'm going to make back the money and then some. Basics of business. Investing for a return.

I think this scenario is kinda the same as the WoW 2200 paid carries. It's really hard to get subs on youtube and for some its really hard to get 2200 with the bugged mmr. No, but he is definitively promoting it. I just looked at his channel, has over 600k subscribers but his videos barely break (some don't) 200k views in 1 month. A majority of his subscribers are dead weight like Zybaks. If Zybak was going to sell promotions he could say "I have 50k subscribers" but he only has about 5k active subscribers. And I'm sure that Woody guy is saying like "I have over half a million subscribers" or some shit.
