You only lost by a close margin once, usually I win by like 3 or 4 kills. In brawl you never win, and yet in Melee which you play at least 18 hours a day you still lost a lot. Also I do not own either games so it's stupid to say that I play 24/7. Try again kid.

Man, I wasted HOURS playing Melee. I was so upset when my friend I lent it to brought it back and it wouldn't work. I never got any collateral for it either...needless to say he wasn't a very good friend to be honest. =/ I need to get a new copy since I got the original and Brawl, that way I can have the complete series again.
I honestly think the score was a little low, but... NICE REVIEW! I agree, this game was more enjoyable than any game I had ever played! Sorry for you guys that don't have this game, but have Brawl, but.. BUY THIS GAME! I don't know, brawl is still a good game, but melee kept me staring at that TV for hours.
@njlabrador I disagree. SSBB was a good game by itself, but compared to its previous games, not so much. Too many characters, stages, trophys, etc. My least favorite parts about Brawl that they didn't need to throw in stickers, and they replaced Roy (my fav character) with Ike
It seem that you couldn't find the words to describe the awesomness of this game. I personally liked the glitches, making the black hole glitch is fun. I never ran into a glitch accidentally so I wouldn't say that they are a bad thing.
@njlabrador brawl just has more expansion but when you take away all that this game has superior gameplay and tech. Just try playing brawl after you've learned all the cool stuff you can do in melee. If you've never wavedashed l cancelled float cancelled or anything else you haven't seen all melee can do.
i wished that they just made a wireless gamecube controller for the wii because they controls in melee because they r so easy to use on the controller than the wii remote.

I don't know why, but my favorite character is Mr. Game-N-Watch. Something about tossing bacon at people to the point where they want to ring my neck, just really appeals to me.
THis game is super fun Every party my cousins and I play this game nonstop. I got brawl and just keep playing melee. I tried to get the first one, but i never did and we still play melee to this day seeing who can get the most stars
i prefere this game over brawl for lots of reasons but the main one is that its very unbalenced due to the smash balls. it also feels like link is alot weaker then he used to be.
And also i dont get why people say they like this game better than brawl because of "Quality over quantity." that saying meens nothing in a smash bros arguement mainly cause Brawl has more quality then Melee ever had. dont get me wrong, Melee is a FANTASTIC game, but it makes no sense to say Brawl has less qualty then melee
the characters arent exactly clones, sure they share some of the same movement animations, but come on each play different then their counter parts, Like Marth and Roy, Marth relies on the tip of his blade while Roy relies on his whole blade, and he has fire.
I know there's probably about 2million comments saying it should've gotten a higher score but I'm gonna add another...

Man, I wasted HOURS playing Melee. I was so upset when my friend I lent it to brought it back and it wouldn't work. I never got any collateral for it either...needless to say he wasn't a very good friend to be honest. =/ I need to get a new copy since I got the original and Brawl, that way I can have the complete series again.
P.S. Epic Falcon Punch on Giga B was EPIC. =D

I honestly think the score was a little low, but... NICE REVIEW! I agree, this game was more enjoyable than any game I had ever played! Sorry for you guys that don't have this game, but have Brawl, but.. BUY THIS GAME! I don't know, brawl is still a good game, but melee kept me staring at that TV for hours.

@njlabrador I disagree. SSBB was a good game by itself, but compared to its previous games, not so much. Too many characters, stages, trophys, etc. My least favorite parts about Brawl that they didn't need to throw in stickers, and they replaced Roy (my fav character) with Ike

It seem that you couldn't find the words to describe the awesomness of this game. I personally liked the glitches, making the black hole glitch is fun. I never ran into a glitch accidentally so I wouldn't say that they are a bad thing.

@njlabrador brawl just has more expansion but when you take away all that this game has superior gameplay and tech. Just try playing brawl after you've learned all the cool stuff you can do in melee. If you've never wavedashed l cancelled float cancelled or anything else you haven't seen all melee can do.

THis game is super fun Every party my cousins and I play this game nonstop. I got brawl and just keep playing melee. I tried to get the first one, but i never did and we still play melee to this day seeing who can get the most stars

the characters arent exactly clones, sure they share some of the same movement animations, but come on each play different then their counter parts, Like Marth and Roy, Marth relies on the tip of his blade while Roy relies on his whole blade, and he has fire.

clone = ryu and ken in sf4 where most moves have identical hit-box and everything (even still their play differ)
ssbm has 0 clones! watch competitive melee and see how these "clones" differ. they are completely different characters. also the depth in this game's competitiveness cannot be beaten by most games in this world, with exceptions such as starcraft
