i thinks it's quite good, esp tt's a chinese instrument... and it only has do rea mi so la. fa and ti can only be produced by pressing the strings on the left side. Producing these sounds accurately requires years of practice.
The instrument of which you asked is called a "Koto". It is a Japanese zither of Chinese origen. The name of the instrument that gave rise to the Koto is called a "Guzheng" pronounced "Goojung" (approximately). The traditional version of the Koto has 13-strings, although these days you can 17,20-25 stringed instruments. The Chisene traditional version has 16 strings. The modern versions range between 25 and higher??
You did very well, but (I'm being /really/ picky here. don't bite my head off) in the second half of the song, they key changes, or there's acsidentals or something that you kept missing. Other than that, you did really well.
yeah, the sound quality is really bad, koto usually sounds much deeper. If you go to my website you can hear some of my songs with better quality. You can find my website by googling chocolate dragon music.
This is a koto, which is the Japanese ascendent of the Chinese gu zheng. The Korean long zither is called "kayagum" and the Vietnamese long zither is called dan tranh. An ancient zither of China is gu qin, which only has 7 strings and is even older than the gu zheng.
hurray for ignorant people talking like they no something. the origons of the instrument are from china passed through korea, to japan. so ultimately chinese but glorified through korea. remember japan is an island and anything they acquire is most likely through korea (a major port). karate, kimonos, the katana, even the ideals of the samurai went to japan through korea.
I was hoping that some one who had played past the beginning would aleast play the rest of the song, the part where it goes up two complete octives and back with 32th notes at 100 bpm then go up and down at 32th notes like the rest of the song should be and show me its possible. Because I can only play up to where you stopped but the ending, looks impossible.
thats so cool
