Hahaha Kurt you must have psychic powers. When I was watching this and you said at around 0:30 "Go watch the serenity episode and I will wait here" I actually made myself pause this, watch the Serenity review and then came back.... hahaha
I bought this game back in October. I absolutely love it. Of course, I'm a fan of the show so that helps. Still, I'd recommend the game to anyone who loves sci-fi mixed with good character drama.
i once played a spirit of the century game where i used up all my plot points and didn't get any from the gm it was for the final scened and i did ok. Plot points add to the game but you could play it without them
Good review, but when I was checking that book out I was really hoping for the book to give me some potential ideas to run with. There wasn't much along those lines and in a world like BSG, where things are very tightly plotted, a nudge as to what ideas or loose ends I could explore would have really helped to get me thinking.
why cant they make a bsg game for the xbox?

I'll have to buy this too just for the extras it adds to the system. I've never seen BSG (I don't have TV) but I remember the old BSG as a kid.
Great review!

Dude! Now I'm going to have to have a one-shot game involving a shoot-out between Adama and Mal.

I heard that the system used for Serenity and Battlestar Galactica is very similar to the Savage Worlds game system. Is that true?

The similarities are superficial only- traits and skills are based on Die types rather than a static #. SW works faster, but has a few more quirks.

Those systems are soooo dependant on the plot points. That if your ST isnt giving them out regularly, the game will break.

Yes, I agree completely. Spirit of the Century workds the same way.

Never been a fan of the series, so I'll pass on this. Seems good nonetheless, though, but not as good as Serenity.
