I heard an acoustic version of this on the radio and it was embarrassing, this version though is ok, it does sound like police on my back a bit as said below.
There quite a few Carbon/Silicon songs with Clash Riffs & Melody Lines in them but not prominent,They must be on purpose in a Funny & Sentimental way,I love hearing the little bits of Clash in Carbon/Silicon songs,It brings a smile to my face when i'm listening to them full blast in my headphones,It makes me think of the old days,Happy Times!
I Sound Like The Old Hovis Advert,When I Was A Lad,LOL!
Wanna see this band - love Mick Jones. This seems a lot better than BAD, some of their songs were great but then there was some terrible stuff - esp Don Letts efforts!
Saw them at Guilfest, they were main support for the main stage... much more atmosphere than on this. This song ended the set they did an epic 10mins incorporating ' police on my back ' had the audience eating out of their hands.
Every people who has culture about punk and it's history loves carbon/silicon , come on Tony james and Mick Jones in the same band...a piece of art

Joe Strummer was the lyrical genius, not Mick Jones.
Tabla461 3 years ago
Ah, well, I don't know anything about them... I DO know that Jones was from The Clash, but that's about it...
I'm just basing my opinion on them judging by this song alone. LOL, it's 'cause I noticed I got "-2" on my first comment.
EPidemic489 3 years ago
Both of them were lyrical genius'. Together they could not be stopped.

Tony James Sucks, its typical the worst player always is the loudest. Mick has a style on the ax, tony if anything go back to playing bass.
