  • Dear Santa...

  • i love all the people that get BENT outa shape that it had 150 hp,,..... it was the FIRST corvette,,, in a time where 100hp was normal for v8s,,, so give it a little fuckin credit for gettin 150 out of a 6.... i bet your first bicycle didnt have 150hp,, so give this lil guy a break,,, plus it was light,,,,, whats your civic weigh ?/ SON!?

  • You didn't need V8 power for this little car, this is a nice little cruiser, and sure has the look, beautiful car!

  • i want

  • 0-60 in 11 secnds, its like a pick up truck

  • @superzerohead It was doing 11 seconds 0-60 over a decade before we had men on the moon. This was the first version of the Vette also. Speed started going up as they got a handle on it.

  • Who cares if it doesn't go that fast. It looks like it could. And besides, you'll need to go slow to pick up all the babes.

  • Only 150 hp!? That blows.

  • @neurocytohemotoxic what do u want 500HP..lol..it was the first vette..it was a nice little cruiser relax man

  • @5tonyvvvv In 1954 Mercedes-Benz had the 300SL Gullwing, 3 liter straight six. Same year, the corvette has 3.9 straight six. Fair enough. The Gully has 212, the vette only had 150. Why? Technology.

So, the Gully has more power, even when it is smaller. So, over to the V8 era of the C1 vette. One hole year after, and with a 4.3 v8 they still cant beat the German producer, how many horses? 195....... I must say this entitles the 300SL Gullwing as a supercar, from the start of it's production.

  • @neurocytohemotoxic

More than enough in 1953, especially in a light car.

  • There's a 53 Corvette for sale for 30K dollars but it has a 350 Engine. Does this matter?

  • yes, it does, this one sold for about 240K

  • very informative

  • This is a C1...the chromed valve cover is incorrect...but the dash is correct for this car...I've always known all '53's to have red interiors, black tops and polo white exteriors...I'm sure this car is close to being correct except for that valve cover...

  • They listed the the valve cover replaced the old one, dude.

  • Is this the C1 then?

  • @peteq1972 Yes corvette Stingrays also held the C2 and C3 tittles as well

  • @Anarchyunderworld Yeah C6 now. i want a C4 only cos i can`t afford a C5. I thought the "Stingray" was just the C2 model.

  • @peteq1972 well, i should re-phrase the C3 thingy, most of the C3 era was a Stingray, until 1977 the stingray emblems were removed and the corvettte gained the "fastback" look but C2 to 1976 was a true full blood Corvette stingray, I should know because I am the Proud owner of a beautiful 76 stingray, I hope to be posting videos and pics of it on my other channel soon

  • @Anarchyunderworld Thanks for clearing that up, now i know :)

  • because in 1953 they never thought about putting glass

  • to block rocks from breaking the glass lights and making it less seceptable to danger

  • I read that the '53 only was available with white interior and the red one came in '54.If that is true, the dash on this car is from a '54.

  • Wrong. You could get a '53 in any color, as long as it was polo white with red interior.

  • Chromed rocker cover cannot be correct?I read somewhere that the '53 was only available with white interior, the red one came in '54

  • no i believe the 1954 came with the choice of different colors and different interior colors
