@jackassicecream, that would be a myth. Their efforts are fully on Fall of the Samurai I think.

The checkerboard formation is way more fun. Put all of your units on Defensive mode. Retreat your front line straight back once it says very tired. They won't route in EB. The enemy will chase your front line into your fresh second line which will be throwing their pila into a tired wavering enemy. It will hardly ever go into your third line. If your third line gets tired your 1st line will be fresh by then and ready to go back in. The defensive mode does wonders in keeping men fresh.

@WorldChampInfinity, yes the checkerboard is fun if a bit tedious to set up in the beginning. The one problem is that the AI usually opt for a really spread out formation, so you're forced to fend off flank attacks with a lot of people from your third or second line. I usually leave the checkerboard formation for pre-marian Romans only.

I keep on getting a glich in eb that when i am in a recently capture town i cant recuit my defult units (Like if you are roman and i train hastai) its very annoying

@TheCommenEagle Recruitment in EB doesn't have "default units" you are probebly in a region that doesn't have any roman citizens to recruit into hastai ect. In keeping with history.

@TheCommenEagle I'm sure it's just building the the highest government type buildings and then waiting to upgrade to the next city size. I'm not sure thought i'm terrible at playing Rome on EB. I can tell you everything to know about the Casse though haha
