Others might have come very close technically to getting the essence of Hendrix riffs Hendrix's primary objective wasn't just to be a technical guitarist there are others that do that thing.

Hendrix was a master of the whole song creation process which is why he was in a league of his own. He composed strong hooks that had mega mojo.

The sound is way off the strat sound,, thats one thing,,, the worst is your note on 1:03,,, its should be a half note higher. Strange you cant hear this.

the version of this song i have has the greatest note known to man in my opinion, i think its the live version. just after the start when the drums really kick in and there is the huge sustained bend with the Wah over the top, i nearly cream myself every time i hear that note... mmmmmmmmmmm
