I always thought the reason Alister said "See You in Avalon" was because he wanted Lara to know he believed her and thought it was real - because he was always a very unconvinced person about everything. Just a thought though :) i love him<3

I think; just because of the fact that the doppelganger was holding a gun, in order to distract Lara, so Lara'd think the doppelganger is a mirror XD... Will of its own, yet not very smart. I think.

It's all explained in the next cutscene: it was a doppelganger that Natla created ;)

She sees her mum as a thrall (zombie) and then Lara horrified at her mother's appearance, and kindly put her mother out of her misery by shooting her back into elir/eitr. I think you have already played the game and now know. :)

whn i was playin underworld and got to this but i almosst died with excitement lmao except hw can alistair see her in avalon because for one thing, whn u get ther in the game u dnt see him there (lol) and for another thing, its the resting place of the Gods, not an afterlife for humans!

Haha ya, me too! I got over excited! And I think Alister just said that to push Lara to continue her mission and give her some hope. That's just how Alister is =)

When you get there, you encounter Amelia too, but that's because she died by the dias.. It all is very confusing but what I just said, I think that's the answer to all this. Though, maybe Eric Lindstrom, creative director, will release this mystory soon enough ;)

she didn't die from the dias, the dias took her to avalon and something happened to her which turned her into a thrall and then well guess it all ends with lara shooting her to death :( poor lara she didn;t deserve to see her mother like this :'(

AHHAAA!!! i see now, thats why lara looked so weird in that teaser that Eidos made, remember, it was the rewind one and at the end "lara" was at the front of the house with the detonatore!! now i see, that was nt ara, it was the doppleanger!!!
