  • I love how many comments were removed because people were yelled at for being stupid. Amazing performance as well lol.

  • excelentee.! felicidades al compa..muy virtuoso

  • Yea... Pretty loose interpretation. But that gives way to the fact that this is JAWDROPPINGLY VIRTUOSIC

  • @drumFriend1 no offense, but you are arrogant and in no place to say that he has "bad Interpretation." If you think you can do better, than go ahead and post a video. I would like to see it. But WeiChen Lin has a freaking doctorate in musical arts, so I think he knows how to interpret music. You, on the other hand, are only 16 and probably should even be playing this piece in the first place. The judges at this competition know what they are doing, so dont say he doesnt deserve to win.

  • Beautiful...

  • Very bad interpretation. Can not understand how this made him to winner...

I also play piece (i am 16 years old). There are so much mistakes and the musical message is not given. Sorry...

  • @drumFriend1 There are so MANY mistakes. If your going to be a pompous ass then at least use proper English.

  • @olsonbro *you're* hahahaha

  • @drumFriend1 now you sir.. tell me the musical message of this song.. let me compare your opinion to mine. i have spoken to nbojša himself the composer of the song and Lin has played this song very well! you should probably play something for 2 mallets no shi piece..

  • I'm scared of this guy... Jk Nice !

  • Dear friends,

  • damn, those chops!!

  • i whistle this song at work all the time.

  • @oxysean that's impressive as hell cause I can barely keep up with what's going on besides the choral type sections. haha

  • fantastically played! i really do not like this piece though.... it's not zivkovic's best. i just think it's so random and has poor structure. that however, does not saying anything about this man's playing.

  • @marimbamarcy

Yes I agree about the piece, Ultimatum 2 is much better as a piece.

  • Show us a video of you playing it even half as good as him then... I bet you will think he knows what he is doing then.

  • @cajunstix

Don't you know that the clicking is required in the music?

  • oh realy is it? on the rcording i have of this peice, it alomst sounds like he is clicking his foot on the ground, with tap dancing shoes.

  • Just respect and try to be nice to musicians. Especially, marimba field is small enough. There is no space to attack other players with improper criticism.

  • @cajunstix It's actually written in the piece to do this.

  • @cajunstix Wouldn't you think that the people who judged this competition have A LOT of experience in marimba or music? Wouldn't you think that if he had hit his handles on the keys out of poor musicianship, they wouldn't have given him first place...? You should probably think before you type or if you can't do that, invest in the sheet music and follow along....

  • @africanhustler05 HEY!!!! I invested in the sheet music. I'm starting on it in January after Velocities. It and polaris for recital. Come to state or else.

  • Yes I saw him as well, at pasic it was a little slower but this guy still did quite an amazing job.
