When Kotaro was captured and then defeated by the Crisis Empire after the events in Black, he was cast into space, absorbed the Sun's power, and then reborn as RX.

Viewers at the time would know the character Kotaro Minami was Black, so this video was to attract viewers to watch the new series and why he became RX.
