I agree that several scientists do support the c02 theories however, In my experience far more weather professionals oppose the C02 theory than support it. I was an Environment Canada employee, and still remain in good touch with many of my former co-workers. We all opposed the Canadian carbon tax, and formed a petition to protest it, and had over 5,000 weather professionals and scientists sign it. They still passed it though, regardless of our claim that "the debate is not over"!

Global warming is something that has been happening for a long time. The temperature of the Earth has been increasing more or less continuously since the time of the cave man.
CO2 levels in the atmosphere today are NOT at record high levels, in fact we're much closer to record lows. We have approx. 380ppm of C02 in our atmosphere, right now. We had over 1800ppm during the Jurassic period, yet the earth was much cooler.
The evidence is clear, imo. C02 has no relationship with warming.
It looks like you did a little research, yet you're still a total idiot. I am currently finishing my degree in Environmental and Resource Science with an emphasis in Agriculture and Soil Science, so I'm obviously much more of an authority on the subject of CO2 than you. From your comments, it appears you've been getting your data from Exxon's Website or some other misguided source. Do YouTubers a favor and STFU.
I don't go around telling people that i'm an authority. Never once did i give my qualifications outside of my previous employer, Environment Canada.

cap and trade has much larger implications than just cars and coal. carbon dioxide is the most commonly used and emitted gas in any industrialized country, anything that needs to be shipped will cost more, even the fountain drinks at gas stations are powered by compressed co2. estimated environmental impact of cap and trade isnt really even calculable

Whats the whole point of pointing out how many jobs a bill or stimilus funding for states will create if the jobs only last for about a month to a month and a half. Like in Elkhart, the airport that is allocated the money but the renovation is expected to take 45 days with 250 employess. So he have work for a few weeks then worry about rent and food again. Any bill that drives prices up is potentially fatal. This may not kill americans, even the poorest ones, but it certainly will kill many people in third world countries.

Just ask yourself..are the large manufacturers going to spend billions retooling their production lines and destroy their profits, or will they just pull out and move overseas where energy and labor costs are much cheaper anyway?
Say goodbye to what's left of American manufacturing..the alternative power products will mostly be manufacturered in Asia, so don't expect those "Green jobs" to save us.
I'm all about the environment, but doing this during a major recession is pure stupidity.

Think about the reprocussions on your economy. Why would anyone want to invest in American energy, when they know it's going to be heavily taxed?
Oil isn't running out, C02 isn't harming your atmosphere, and cars are getting more fuel efficient every year. There's no need to panic about climate change... 31,000+ weather professionals are protesting it, including over 9000 phd's!

The alternatives proposed by republicans are just plain stupid. more oil! more nuclear plants. the hidden costs of managing nuclear waste is just so great and unpredictable. uranium is also a limited and non-renewable resource and that's not a domestic raw material either! and the cost of uranium would just be driven up with a hundred new plants!
i dont think you all should be scared of the cost. technology always have innovation and a way to deal with things if you give it a chance.life.

Gas/electricity is obviously currently way too cheap since people are wasting it to such an enormous extent. You say "Fuck planet Earth, we want liberty"? I disagree. With liberty comes responsibility, and people have shown very clearly that they are driven solely by money and not regard for the planet, so the only way to give the planet a break is to raise energy taxes.

As long as there is a strong suspicion that CO2 is a problem and there may be a critical tipping point, we should act on it. If the government just wanted more tax money, there's a about million and a half other ways they could claim it. Hats off to them for taxing energy of all things some more.

I agree that several scientists do support the c02 theories however, In my experience far more weather professionals oppose the C02 theory than support it. I was an Environment Canada employee, and still remain in good touch with many of my former co-workers. We all opposed the Canadian carbon tax, and formed a petition to protest it, and had over 5,000 weather professionals and scientists sign it. They still passed it though, regardless of our claim that "the debate is not over"!

Now they get to control who makes all the big money in energy, by tweaking the system that they just gained control over.
This will destroy jobs and hurt your economy. It will scare investors away from ever investing in a highly taxed market. It will discourage investment in new technologies that will help make cleaner, more efficient energy, by restricting the free-market.

Global warming is something that has been happening for a long time. The temperature of the Earth has been increasing more or less continuously since the time of the cave man.
CO2 levels in the atmosphere today are NOT at record high levels, in fact we're much closer to record lows. We have approx. 380ppm of C02 in our atmosphere, right now. We had over 1800ppm during the Jurassic period, yet the earth was much cooler.
The evidence is clear, imo. C02 has no relationship with warming.

I am not qualified to determine the C02 debate myself, however i do have the ability to reason using logical discourse, and have many friends in the Weather Science field.

4000 weather professionals, over 9000 phd's and over 30,000 qualified American scientists willfully rejecting the C02 theory. They also provide Peer-reviewed papers, to back up their claims.
So, please, use your qualifications to write a peer-reviewed paper that challenges the petition project.
