  • Dirty rotten stinker. Cats don't behave "bad," they are reacting to something in their environment or lack there of. Think like a cat, why is he doing this?

I would start with a spary water bottle by your side at all times. When you see the pre-bahaviour of attack, like tail swoosh or bum wiggle then squirt him. Show him who is boss.

  • I'm learning that he's the type of cat that needs a constant challange. If he gets bored, he gets destructive...with things or me. That spray water bottle is a good idea, especially when he gets stubborn!

  • Why is Bourdeaux being bad?? Hmm...maybe the vet can explain his behaviour. Not good; hope your face feels better soon. (Twin sis says perhaps he sees you as a challenge. Do you stare at him? Or does he just do this without any warning whatsoever?) FIVE stars for the attacking kitty!

  • OUTCH. A trip to the vet is in order, maybe he or she could tell you what's up? That's not good. Bad Bourdeaux!!

  • I did a little research on the internet and found that rough play is common with kittens. I'm kind of thinking that since he was (1) sick when he was young and (2) taken from the litter early he may not have had all the social skills he needed before I brought him home. I found out too that simply freezing if he bites me will stop him from attacking. So far it's worked when he tries to attack my ankles when I go up the stairs! :)
