Wow, maybe you shouldnt have started being an asshole... Appreciate musicianship and if you can't say something constructive then keep your mouth shut.
i have the same bass! well is your an american? Mine is a Fender American Delux P Bass and it is amazing! Its a 2004-2005 model with a cherry sunburst and pearl pickup guard.
I would love a delay pedal, i heard you can get all kinda crazy shit going with one of thoswe...as i'm sure you know, where'd you gety it and how much exactly?
Id heard it was usually the other way around actually since bass guitars and pedals tend to have a "hotter" and much lower frequency output. Some pedals, digitech digidelay are even advertised as usable on bass in their catalogs that come with pedals.
I do know for a fact that bass equipment used on guitars amps is damaging, never heard of a bass amp getting damaged from guitars/guitar pedals however.
regardless, take my comments with a grain of salt, ive not done much reading on the subject.
Don't worry about damaging your amp; bass amps are designed to have much more headroom than a guitar amp, otherwise they would be distorted and grungy very often.
However, guitar pedals do not always handle the signal of the bass (especially active basses) very well, especially modulation effects like chorus and phaser. Distortions are usually fine. When in doubt, ask the manufacturer.
Hey is there anyway to slow down the delay, like it takes about 3 seconds to repeat.. If so, then that would be perfect for my riff... thanx great work :)
is that one of the badass american deluxes? like 1100 dollars of awesome... i got to play one once, but i couldnt afford it, so i just got one of the low end ESPs and a pedal
indeed it is a american deluxe P-Bass.... I loves it, but I have yet to figure out the perfect set of strings for it... the only fault I can think of on it is that its extremely "Bright" so it needs a fair amount of EQ tweaking if you dont want to compete with the guitar for the lead :P.... which I generally like to do,so no biggie haha
well if you're going for crunch with easynes son the fingers i would say ernie ball hybrid slinkies. but personaly i like rotosound's swing66es. they're light but nice... but then again yous ay it's bright so i would go with hybrid or super slinkies. cheap but they have that low pound... might sound a bit metallic when you slap, but once they're seasoned in then they should be pretty nice.
Yep I am using effects, I am using a morley bass wah pedal, digitech digi-fuzz pedal and a digi-delay pedal, FYI if you are looking at pedals, digitech is okay if you absolutely cant afford better but I recommend just waiting a bit and buying better, I know I wish I did.
inspirational!

hey do you think a digitech rp90 would work well with a bass?
Waltij 3 years ago
possibly? Some guitar pedals work just fine with bass, others not so much.... Id advise trying it out if you dont know.
iadans 3 years ago
alright
i got a guitar too so it should be worth buying anyway
thanks
Waltij 3 years ago
be advised some guitar pedals on a bass can destroy your amp. some pedals though will work fine

i dunno. i just wouldnt try it. you can never be to careful.
pj2bass12 3 years ago
Its no fun being careful with experimenting with music.
bcattley 2 years ago
yeah, but if you mess up your gear there goes a couple hundred down the drain and now you cant experiment anymore.

The only thing generally damaged is the speaker cone, everything else should be fine, unless there was some very faulty equipment along the chain.

LinkBulletBill 3 years ago
yes, it can be slowed down further, its just dependent upon the pedal, mine can do up to I think 5 seconds of delay.

are you using effects on that?
it sounded like it makes an echo, especially at the end, it looked like you plucked the string once and it made a double sound...
