If you do it everyday, only do 1 or 2 light movements. I prefer doing it 2-3 times per week and hitting it pretty hard. If you go hard everyday you won't progress as quickly.
mama- the pressure in your wrists is probably due to the tiny tendons and ligaments bearing the weight of your body. When you go down to to the push up this load is compounded. It can be very painful. I suggest you try holding yourself in a push-up position, work up to a minute. Do 3 sets of one minute. Once you can do that with relatively no pain, try to bend your elbows a bit and go into the motion. If still painful, message me back and well will try plan B.
thanks for the vid. it's helping. the only problem i'm having is with my wrists. i feel a lot of pressure going to my wrists. what can i do to fix this problem/ looking forward to your feedback.
I would say it depends. If you have back problems or issues it may be a good idea to do a light core workout everyday. I work my core 2-3 days per week. Of course listen to your body, it's importance to recognize the difference between discomfort and pain. Pain is your body's way of saying, "STOP."
Sure thing. Some weeks I do them all. Other weeks I may do two days of one and two of another. Or three different. It really depends on how you feel and what body parts you are trying to focus. For overall health and fitness it may be the best approach to do all 4 each week. Try Monday Tueday, then off Wednesday, then again Thursday and Friday.
Great question Glen and a valid concern. Please keep in mind I am not a medical doctor and one should be consulted before doing anything that I recommend.
I do believe most of the core positions can be duplicated while standing and putting your hands on the wall instead of the ground. This will solve many issues as they relate to balance, age, joint pain, injury etc.
What if you are weak in the knees and ankles? Weak in getting up from a laying down or sitting up position? How to best strengthen those joints safely, for a beginner?
very good exercises thank you
