  • Hmm, in these mirror universe stories everyone seems to just be angry all the time... Glad thats not like our universe...wait a minute, erm...

  • What has 'City on the edge of forever' to do with the mirror universe?

  • @VinnyMonster1 - I thought that was kindof a no-brainer--the mirror universe is obviously a vision (at least the TOS episodes) of our universe if Hitler had won. Since that is what McCoy caused to happen, City on the Edge of Forever is the begining of the mirror universe. Just my opinion, of course--as far as I know there has never been an official confirmation on that. just seemed the logical conclusion.

  • @OriginXYZ1 Valid point, and well put.

I always imagined the Mirror Universe's divergence to have happened sowheat earlier than the 20th century.

But hwat the hey, it's all fiction and good fun :D

  • @OriginXYZ1 thats some good insight you might be right good job

  • @OriginXYZ1 i believe that in the Enterprise Mirror universe episodes, Phlox mentions "classic literature" being different, except for shakespeare. so it's possible the divergence occurred further back.

  • @VinnyMonster1 ppl think that the mirror universe was the reality that mccoy created when he stoped the women from being killed and allowing the nazis to take over.

  • @prestruction Maybe they do. But in City on the edge of forever, when McCoy jumps through the portal into the 1920s, he alters time, and the enterprise no longer exists.

Whereas if it had been McCoy who created the mirror universe, the Enterprise would have been replaced by it's mirror universe version.

It was shown in Mirror Mirror that the ISS Enterprise and the USS Enterprise followed very similar histories, with the exception of one being good and the other evil.

  • You should do another one, but this time add Yesterday's Enterprise after the Sulu scene, then show Deep Space Nine, and the add Mirror Voyager. EPIC

  • @creativegamer71 Again, the Voyager episode does not belong. First, it was a fictitious account of the normal Voyager universe--in no way a parallel or alternate universe.

  • I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind words :) I had planned on making many more videos for everyone to enjoy, but then I decided to go to college. Needless to say, I have not even had time to reply to the posts on my old videos.

  • Amazingly well done, especially at :32. Excellent.

  • Long Live the Terran Empire! I wish they had done more of that type of Episode. I wonder what Voyager would be like.

  • The Voyager episode "Living Witness." In the end, the episode turns out to be a lie. But it as close as we get to seeing what a mirror voyager would be like. But dont forget, the idea of everything HAVING a mirror side isnt possible. Certain things in the trek universe would have no equivalent there because their history would unfold differently. In mirror, the caretaker might have been evil and wouldnt have been trying to help the Ocompa--Voyager wouldnt have been pulled into deltaquad.

  • Or the caretaker might have been abducting ships for other resons. for example to fid a way to stop his aging.

  • If so Mirror Janeway would most likely order the Caretaker's excecution, conquering the Ocampa and then use the Array to bring hundreds of thousands of more Terran Starships into the Delta Quadrant. They would then go on and conquer the Kazon Collective and all the other races native to the region. So even though the Empire fell in the Alpha Qradrant it could still be thriving in the Delta Quadrant with Mirror Janeway as their Empress. That sounds Hot.

  • Wach episode Author,Author thats the only mirror vesion of Voyager

  • That episode has nothing to do with the mirror universe--its about a holo novel written by the doctor I think. The ONLY voyager episode that might come close would be "living witness," and that is really just an inaccurate retelling of historical events--but their behavior would qualify.

  • Im not saying its based on the mirror univers Im saying is Docs charcters closly resembels the mirror univers

  • I mean the way Janeway was acting in the holonovle that clip would be perfect

  • or he would have been the same like in Mirror,Mirror the lien civilisation in that story was the same in both realitys so he would be the same and voyager would try and destroy him for his tecnoligy or try to expand there the empires teritory in the delta qwadrant

  • It was said once in the Mirror Universe that Augments were peace loving revolutionaries, rather than ruthless conquerers. Thus they are still persecuted as in the original Star Trek universe but, for different reasons.

  • IMO The Mirror Universe is the best Star arc in Star Trek.

    Awesome vid!

  • wow that was frekin awosme !!

  • Thanks :)

  • Thing is i have a feeling that what we see as the 'mirror' universe is really what our universe will turn in to. Call me pessimistic, but that seems to be the way we work in this reality.

  • Unfortunately. I think that was the idea. The mirror universe is our natural future. If we want the other side of the mirror, we have to make it happen. Evil happens on its own, its GOOD that requires effort on our part.

  • @OriginXYZ1 The problem with that is that evil is very much a part of us - unless WE are fixed up, the problem will still be there, but maybe in a different form. Like cutting the branches off a tree, they will grow back but from different directions. What we need is a deep clean of our hearts, so we hate evil in all its forms. Then good may become something we do more and more.

  • Meaning we rule the universe until some bleeding heart ruins it? Sounds good to me! We just have to kill Spock.

  • Its a shame Deep Space Nine ruined the Mirror Universe forever by emasculating the Terran Empire.

Now any good Terran Empire stories will be impossible.

  • Have you read "Glass Empires"? You should, they do a good job with showing the Terran Rebellion.

  • Sweet. the STFC is releasing a dvd set with the best of alternate reality. i'm excited to see all of these episodes in thier entirty.

  • I am confused since when did the Defiant have beam type phaser systems? It have photon torpedo launchers and the pulse type phaser systems. There were no beam emitters on the Defiant. UNLESS that is strictly an addition to the Mirror Defiant. Then I could understand.

  • While I did enjoy the video very much are you aware that the begining scene came from an episode that had no connection to the mirror universe?

  • Most people I know think that episode is what caused the mirror universe in the first place--but we can discuss that in more detail with private messages (If you wish) :)

  • how u found this song i need 2 do

  • I bought the 4th season of Enterprise on DVD. They made a special intro for the 2 parter using this music. I just recorded the audio from that and replaced the video with my own :)

  • Dark Mirror by Dianne Duane was a masterpiece. You also forgot the DC comics, the Marvel One shot and the numerous novels by Bill Shatner. TNG should have made a Movie of the Mirror. I would have been in line over and over to see it.

  • I have to admit, I was never a huge Kirk fan. Not because I didnt like Kirk--Shatner killed that part with his over acting. At least in the original series.

He mellowed out a bit in the movies so I tend to lean more towards them as far as Kirk. I did not mention the comic books because I wasnt sure if you were as "white and nerdy" as I am ;)

  • nope. Greek and nerdy and have an obsession with The Mirror. I have a vid too and a Mirror Fanclub here in Utah. So far, though, you seem to have helped me with the alternate chronology quite a bit

  • Great use of episodes to create a time spanning Mirror Homage. Great job. I often thought Keeler was the nexus point between universes. Hail the Empire!

  • Thank you. My only regret is that there are no Voyager/TNG Mirror episodes. TNG had a book, and the Voyager episode "Living Witness" is as close as we get.
