At 1:19 that teacher looks kinda hot.I bet when she took her glasses off and let her hair down ,she looked like she could have gone down on the town. You know the sexy librarian type
The 70's were A Funky Decade with a lot of good shows that were educational with high values unlike the 2000's which is The Sponge Bob Era of Entertainment.
This is amazing. I used to watch this show all the time in the 1970s on Long Island, NY , but could never remember the name of it until I saw it today...and then I found this. This is the one episode that I remember the most~!! Uncanny to see how much of it I remembered after 30 years. Thanks so much.
I remember seeing this show in school back in 1981 when I was in 3rd grade. At the end of the show the teacher asked us how did the person feel about what had happened etc. I also watched this show at home during snow days, and told my mother about the show and seemed interested. I do recall seeing parts of this episode, and my opinion is bullying will never stop.
I haven't seen this in at least 30 years, but I still remember it. I particularly remember the cliff-hanger, what-would-you-do ending, and at the time thinking "I'd let the bully sit there and die." My only impression that's changed since then, is that now I realize how bad some of the acting was!
omg - I saw this on pbs when I was a tyke over 30 years ago. I remember the ending differently ... that the bully fell down a well a la "Dolores Claiborne." This series in general was excellent, and this particular episode really haunted me.
@bingobastard word bullying is nothing compared to real bullying. real bullying ends up in situations like this, where the victim goes to extremes to stop the bully. real bullying results in schools shootings. internet bullying results in curse words written in caps.
The bullying never ends . People bully each other on the yahoo and youtube comment sections. They can gey away with it because they are mostly anonymous
After seeing this, I'm willing to bet one of the directors, the producers or (most likely) the writers suffered endless torment from a bully named Frankie when he was a kid.
We watched this as part of our 4th grade class for the school year 1972-73. Of all the Inside Out programs, it was one of my favorites b/c its ending has a good ?. What would u do if u were Adrian ?
There were a number of bullies who bothered me and others in my day. On most occasions I eventually tired of it and kicked their asses in front of everyone...no lie.
If little Frankie would of pulled this shit now (hell, even in the last 20 years) his sorry little punk ass would have been royally fucked up,right back to White Trash land. Hey Frankie...ever seen an AK-47 up close?
@throbbinnut Yeah i feel the same way you did.As much as I would want to leave him there to die. I would be no better than him if I did.Teachers and Parents really dont stop bullies .They just look the oter way by saying"kids will be kids".School are really like prisons. Teachers are the guards that dont intervene. And your not supposed to tell on a bully for fear of being labelled a "stoolie".Its a vicious cycle.Course its good to know that some unreformed bullies go to real prison
Some of my bullies: (no last names so I wont get sued for slander) Stuart G.,Ben M.,Cherie H., Chad C.,Zack,Lane L.,Scott Mc.,Cliff P.,Tom Mc.,Irene P.,Craig W.,Andress R.,and many others. When they picked on me it felt like a living hell
Bullies destroyed my self esteem.I would have had a normal school life if it hadnt been for them.Unfortunately I knew alot of kids (male and female)that bullied me like Frankie bullied Adrian.
@MrJacMac1986 I know where you're coming from. Bullies made school life for me total Hell on Earth. But perhaps the aggrevation prepared me for my career as a prison guard. Still get the occasonal lip from losers like Frankie, but now, they can be placed in restricted lock-up. Plus, now I get paid for it!
@mikecleona i'm not suprised that's the job you chose. the public school system is hardly different that the prison system. people are crammed together in large, dehumanizing institutions with woefully inadequate supervision, where they form gangs (or cliques) and proceed to wage war.
they are both cruel, inhuman, and need to be demolished in favor of smaller, more progressive systems.
just like many students fail to come out of the system educated, many prisoners fail to come out rehabilitated.
WOW! this is a flashback. I haven't seen this since I was 5 or 6 years old (born in 1971). Thank you for posting and please post more if you have them.
Does anyone remember Self-Incorporated and the creepy ringing theme song.

bullying should not be tolerated at all.....children want to fit in at a young age, and being bullied can scar them for quite a long time....a bully should get his ass kicked around and he will reform...

Adrian should have finished the job by repeatedly kicking Frankies sore knee and screaming "how do you like it, huh?!"

Hammy acting in places, I lost count how many times the kids were laughing. But you know what? It was enjoyable.
I must have a simple films that ooze with retroness. The introduction alone makes me wonder how my life would have been in the early 70's.
