  • Please make a tut

  • how did you do this i have been trying to make a head/face on anim8or but i cant figure anything out

  • Vid is not a tutorial but all the functions are more less same in every 3d polygon software

Unsure on your experience so im guessing edge loops ?:

In point editor mode set selection tool (right click add to selection) to edges

right click each edge that will be adjacent to the new edges you create

    then use edit>connect edge's(edge loop)

Another tip:switch to view>all mode and try stay in this mode and use move tool with right mouse held notice selection moves in single 3rd axis of each viewport

  • 0:06

    how???

  • tip: non-unform scale whilst holding right mouse in in "view port" in all view mode it will lock axis of scale with out using the lock x.y.z ~this function also work with rotate and move tool and point mode tools

tip2: for reshaping after "convert to mesh" is hot key d box select , m move and for quick selection hold shift and ctrl to toggle select mode ,right click add selection ,middle mouse or alt ~ right mouse remove from selection ,there is key chart layout on official site for all hot keys

  • wow, nice;D

  • i am nowhere near this level of awsome

    -im not a people person73

  • lol, that video helped me, but not how you would think, i made a robottic head, just after you get the extrusions sticking out, it looks like a robot head, it's perfect

  • lol i re-downloaded it today to test it out, and it was EXTREMELY hard to figure out, after using 3ds Max for a while :P

i cant understand how i could figure it out XD

  • This is great. Organic objects particularly faces are so hard to do and this shows exactly how you did it. Although it's still going to be tough to follow. Thank you for posting the video, really appreciated.

  • You're good, all I can make is a snowman next to a tree or an ant.

  • how much time did it take you? thanks

    Grace be unto you

    alvaro

  • each frame is me using redo command (ctrl + y)

been while since i have don 3d modeling but i only used 2 commands

edit>select>quod ring select and edit>connect edges and 4 tools (ctrl+shift) multi select ,rotate , move and non uniform scale tool

connect edges command create's the new devision / edge loop

i just found out anim8or now have ray tracer and plugin support so may start modeling again soon :)

  • sorry for delay in reply lol

the head took under 60 seconds only part skipped was between 0:06 and 0:08 were vertice were moved in pairs and for the video itself took much longer i had no capture software so the frames in the video are copy paste print screens from multiple undo and redo command events frame 0:37 you can see the redo button top left corner change to grey

  • That was the coolest thing i have ever seen being done in anim8or

  • I made a dominoe thing with Anim8or

  • COOL!

  • WOW that's good! do you have a simpler to follow tut of that? I could use it. The head that I tried to make sucks.

  • COOL. you could make a robot movie aboout robots fighting humans!

  • awesome! you make it look so easy. ever heard of a similar program called Milkshape?

  • i tried blender author edition about 3 years ago didnt like the gui ,i did try newer one but had problems with the gdk runtime thingie ,i mostly prefere an8 or cinema 4d i also now have the free version of bryce from download website or daz3d website ,its mainly a terrain builder but all modeling tools basicly are boolean shapes

  • is this software free to use?
