If I were the producer and director of this series, I would have tried to stay true to the animation used in the 80's show and had all the villains, the pieman, beastley, shreeky, the evil book in movie 1, maybe darkheart, no heart, professor coldheart, frostbite, and auntie freeze.

I almost thought this was an amateur flash animation. I used to think the 80's series was vastly syrupy sweet, but I stand corrected, this is even more infantile than I could have possibly imagine.

Not to be rude but sweet Ruby Tuesday! What happened to the Care Bears? The color palette's way too bright, the Cousins are gone, the villian in this series is just laughable, and the Care Bears just seem "dumbed down" from the Nelvana series.

When did this happen?

I saw an episode the other day, the design is totally messed up but what really got me is they changed the gender of the strong willed and outgoing Funshine !!! (from a girl to a boy !!) and another bear who is mute and shy they switched from a boy to a girl. OH Yes lets reinforce those stereotypes. I mean we can't have and outgoing female character or a sensitive male

The graphics are cute but I prefer the vintage series, they were more graceful and cuter, and yes, I like fat and cute characters, these bears look too thin.

I believe the graphics were better in the 80's version, with traditional techniques, it was more artistical.

This 2007 version looks good, but comparing with the vintage Care Bears looks like producers put apart many things that made the series richer.

The animation's cute, and the voices are alright (which is actually too bad considering the awesome talent they hired for this cartoon).

The prpoblem I have with it is that they completely forgot the point of Care Bears.

They're supposed to be teaching PEOPLE to care, not each other.

So “Funshine Bear” was first a GIRL but then was later changed into a BOY hu? I was reading about the ‘Care Bears’ on Wikipedia and apparently they did a similar thing to another one called “Secret Bear” but in vice versa; started out a MALE but then they made them into a FEMALE bear later on.

if you watch differnt virsions of the carebears from the 80's and stuff, all the care bear's genders were switched around. wish bear i think is better as a boy, and funshine better as a girl. bed time bear was once actully a girl. it all depends on which series/movie you watch it's all differnt
