  • $100 now....crazy. Ordering mine tomorrow

  • These people as also the Zionists who help fund the Israeli killing of innocent people. And they are also the same people funding the lie that perpetuates the belief in Jewish DNA. Which is a false DNA research that others have found the truth about. I feel nobody should ever buy anything from these types of companies. Looks flowery on the outside, but dig and you will see for yourself.

  • this is the shittiest interview...the interviewer is horrible

  • She is so full of shit, their product gives you no more info about your genetics. Horrible web site. Shitty product, don't buy. Zero customer service.

  • @delaraZarin your right product isnt good.mine doesnt match ancestry background at all and its as if they got my sample mixed up with someone else.i wrote to them but got no reply as yet.they waste no time emailing me about putting up my card info on site to start getting bill for the one year subscripton commitment and if i dont personal genome or whatever would cancel next month or so.

  • @delaraZarin i dont even want to waste more mine money for crappy info...do you know what they really do to people if they dont bother with the subcription that was suppose to come with order?. from what i read on on their forum over 90 people have said that their results doesnt match their background.I heard that 23&me are often bad at interpreting data like for example someone might show 100% african but 50 % of that is really asian or european..

  • @delaraZarin 23&me doesnt use allot of african poulations or even allot of other populations which is why their interpretationn is bad.Like allot of people had said their site is ethnocentric .

  • @delaraZarin dnatribes explains more in depth what im trying to say in their FAQ and they admited that these admixture test like in 23&me can't really give your full background because they use only part of your dna and dna tribes have said even with their test you'll need research to know your full background and how these tests just fills it in abit.

  • @delaraZarin dna tribes and many people have said people might not ''inherit'' the same from each parent and their parents before them which is why geneological research is a good thing to do to .dna tribes uses many populations for their autosamal STR test which favors mixed and unmixed people they dont go by percentages like 23&me but they can use the raw data from other tests .educated people in this area have said that geneological research is best to for background info.

  • I forgot to add about New York State law which of

all the states maintains that if one is going to talk to

you about your chance of disease they as genetic

    counselors have to be licensed.

It protects one from fainting on the spot if "23&mesay that you have a greater chance of brain cancer based on your genome map and ,well , "statistics".. I am also curious as they said my WASP wife was

an Ashkenazi Jew 5 thousand years ago,

There were no Ashkenazi Jews 5 thousand years ago.

  • that's only the beginning, imagine when everyone will be on file, then we will find out more about our ancestry and evolution. DNA match-making sounds pretty silly - the reporter asked a lot of dumb questions

  • The test for Parkinson's disease patients is priced

at $25 . It is easy and only New Yorkers(? )have to spit

and mail the kit back from another state.

New York state mandates by law that any bodily

specimen has to be done by a laboratory with a

license by the NY Health Department.

I am kind of worried about the chain of ownership

and integrity of the saliva sample as it works only

    on the honor system,

Can one give a dogs saliva as a kind of stupid joke?

  • the one who gives 399$ to put his dog saliva is kinda stupid man in my thoughts...

  • @newyorkernut3, dog saliva would be identified as dog saliva - it wouldn't match against the human genome. Kind of a waste of money.

  • @knighthammer7564

Or you might confuse them and waste their time since it can be time consuming to analyze data, so no, one really shouldn't waste their time like that.

I think that this is really neat. It gives me some hope for indefinite lifespan through technology. Sure, it's not that advanced in comparison to what I hope for, but it will help me to keep a longer lifespan if I can identify things that are potentially coming my way.

  • Nice interview Loic, really interesting. 23&Me is definitely a good start about bringing genetic knowledge to general public. We will have to be prepared to it because this will be, in my humble opinion, the next medical/social revolution with whole genome sequencing.

  • I agree that it is interesting from a Social as well as Medical point of view. Imagine finding your perfect genetic match! (someone who is missing certain useful genes you have, whilst you simultaneously are missing useful genes they have) I'd bet you that mixed race relationships would increase if this took off socially. I doubt it will have any application other than that though - It would be too disheartening to find out that the people best equipped with caring genes are dead or imprisoned..

  • It looks very promising, but should be a bit cheaper to take spit to a lab. I saw on Oprah, it went from $1000.USD, to $399.USD. That seems pretty steep to me. I think it should be $100. and more people would do it. Maybe we could figure out some secret mysteries of the past. So cool.

  • @vicky2c It was $99 for DNA day last month. That's when I purchased my kit :)

  • Gattaca just turned real.

  • it is excellent.

    Thank you.

  • How can provide someone them their DNA material, people are stupid. A couple of crazy womans control your DNA wrapped a Lie in Package with foolish infos who is my mother mother. Hey men I am a brother from another Mother and 23andme never ever not this live not next live will get my DNA.

  • shut the fuck up they will be more accurate than the bullhit u wrote here ,

  • I'm kinda worried about that too :/
