Man, this brings back memories! I grew up in DC & every Sunday night, my father would watch Petey Greene's Washington or listen to him on the radio. All I remember is the straw chair he sat on in the show & the rap that he used to close with. In this video clip, Chuck Brown looks like Petey Greene's brother...

I met Petey Greene when I was around 5 or 6 years old and I remember him as being such a gentle person who when I look back at my experience was great with kids. Petey was a friend of my dad and this is how I met him. R.I.P. Petey.

I like to thank everyone who has come to know a portion of the late great Petey Greene, however there is more to this story, that without a doubt will be much more inspring and empowering not just to a few, but many.This man left behind a legacy. His CHILDREN!!!!! WE have yet to hear from them, they should have a voice in this too!! Who would know better than how great of a man he really was than his own flesh and blood. Thats just food for thought!
