she was a great player. jeez, it sucks that she died...so sad :;(. she played well and moved many people. the expresion she puts into her playing is outstanding. awesome, dude. seriously.

Who needs words when you can hear this heartfelt,dramatic and intense version of this Mendelssohn piece played the late great Jacqueline du Pré Her intensity when playing it is mesmerizing to watch. How I wish I had known of her years ago and could have seen her play,but at least we have videos and recordings by her to compensate. I have also read bios on her and watched two DVDs by Christopher Nupen which are excellent ways to appreciate her genius as a cellist of the highest order. RIP Smiler
