  • Toenails are pretty bad, gonna try using vicks, and a daily soak, let you guys know

  • I know that must of us girls love to get our toe nails and nails done at our local "Nail salons" however, be aware that some of these places do not clean the tools used to clean and manicure your toes and nails, and the result is "Fungus." I did not have fungus until I started going to get my nails done. I am still battling it and it has not been easy to get ridoff. I now do my own nails and toes at home, cleaning the tools with bleach, then soap and last spray them with alcohol. Use Vick's!!

  • Nail Fungus Treatment

Great video, I look forward to seein all your future updates

  • BE CAREFUL mixing things... DO NOT MIX Hydrogen Peroxide and Vinegar... that creates a highly corrosive chemical which I forgot the name off... which has entirely different properties...

  • you just about told me a million things..

    that may work.!!!

  • Vick's Vaporub does work. Applied twice a day to the entire nail for a few weeks did the trick.

  • hollly shhhhh i just rub my eyes by accident wash your hands after you use vap guys

  • Vicks worked for me, along with a weekly vinegar soak. It took about 6 weeks of daily treatments, but it worked. I applied the Vicks type rub once in the morning and before going to bed. Some of my nails actually broke off after a few weeks of Vicks, but clean nails grew back. I still use the Vicks once a day with the weekly vinegar soak to keep the fungus away.

  • to treat nail infection, it is better to use an actual product recommended by doctors and proven to work. i used tineacide by dr. blaine and my nail infection is gone. tineacide was recommended to me by my doctor and thanks to that, the infection is gone.

  • i have tried many diffrent kinds of proiducts that dont work. my doctor recommended me tineacide by dr. blaine. i tried it and now my fungus is gone. i am so happy with tineacide.

  • i am in europe , i have so much problem with my nailfungus waaah, i dont know what to do here is so expensive..vicks i can try but it smells not good any suggestion pls.

  • I have tried vicks, vinegar, tea tree oil etc etc. None of those remedies worked for me. My friend told me about a simple but very effective remedy the other day. Soak you feet in fire! Yep I know it sounds crazy but it works! In just one session you will have the entire nail cleared, in fact it works so well the entire nail will melt away! So you never have to worry about fungi ever again!

  • wow so i read about the whole Vicks Vapor n stuff and decided to give it a shot. wow i am amazed lol in one day i did noticed a change like what the ppl where saying. im not sure how this works but it does! lol

  • None of these remedies seem to work. Lamisil is the only method that will work..

  • trust me tea tree oil. is the best

  • These are some GREAT advise from Pharmacologist Joe Graedon!!!

100% Tea Tree Oil is great antiseptic. I've also heard of white vinegar & regular strenght OTC Hydrogen peroxide, soak.

And why not some Arm & Hammer baking soda along with Listerine too?

The more killer germ powerblast the better.

As an RX i've heard about that is good is "Tripod", but only by Dr's prescription!

  • OK guy's...I've had this problem for about 6 years now. Started on the little toe of my right foot, then spread to the next two. I was given "loceryl" lacquer on prescription from my doc, but I only used it sparodically (about once a week)...so I didn't really give it much of a chance to work.

It seems that the name of the game is perserverence. From what I can gather, if you're going to soak it in vinegar, smear vick on, or whatever, you have to do it daily for months, maybe even a year...

  • ...Since the infection is under the nail, the thickness of the nail actually protects the fungus from the treatments!!! This is why it's the devil to get rid of. So before you do the vinegar or vick or loceryl, thin your nails as much as you can with nail files...then apply your chosen treatment. Remember, don't file different nails down with the same file. You may spread the fungus to healthy nails. I'll let you all know if it works for me.

    Good luck :-)

  • I've Been Watching this video, Skeptically of course, but decided to try the Vicks Vapor Rub Because i was Using Fungi Cure And Clear RX. The Damn VICKS VAPOR RUB WORKS ! Lol I couldn't believe it but the damn thing works. It really began to work in like two days time. I did use the salt and vinegar toe bath and then the vicks afterward for a week and saw a noticeable difference. I did shave my nail down a bit and cleaned up under it as much as i could. but VICKS VAPOR RUB WORKS ! ! !

  • @djsensacion7 I'm gunna try it.- Did it come back on ya?

  • @lushfauna I'm only 2 months into it, have'nt been as consistent because of my busy schedule, but the difference i REALLY noticeable now.

  • VICKS VAPOR RUB WORKS!!!!!

  • Clip off as much of nail as possible, or trip with exacto knife, sand down toe nail (thin as possible) with 80 grit on electric sander, (tape off surrounding skin with masking tape to avoid skin abrasion), coat thinned nail well with Vicks Vapo Rub, and pour table salt onto Vapo Rub area of toe nail. Massage well the salt on top of Vapo rub, and wear flip flops, no socks, and the salt mixed with Vapo Rub seem to have an effect. Or substitue Lotrisome cream for Vapo Rub.

  • You can buy fake toenails and stick them on top for the times when you want to wear open toed shoes.

  • fungus among us lol, sounds like a scifi movie lol

  • Hmm im going to try Vapor rub ive had it for lk 10 years now. Ive tried taking pills @ first it works but it always comes back. When i was 12 my dad took me to a doctor and she said soak ur feet in bleach i was so desperate i did it BIG mistake it hurts like hell and my feet actually bleed because i had small cracks around my heels. Paintng my nails and filling lk crazy is what i do but its not the same so im going to try some of these remedies and let u guys know. Wish me luck!!

  • @jaynnanasmom

did it work when you used Vicks VaporRub 4 Ur Fungi

  • I had nail fungus for over 10 years. I tried all of the natural remedies... Vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, Vicks, tea tree oil, oregano oil, etc. I finally found a product from Fungiban that totally removed the fungus in about 3 months. But I continued to use it until my nails were clear and grown out. The secret of this product is it contains stuff to allow the medicine to permeate the nail. And i kept the nails filed thin first few months.

  • i saw on the internet about 3 weeks ago about vicks vapor rub. i had bad nails since '92 i tried the pill and listerine. the fungus came back but i tried the rub and it is almost gone after two weeks.

  • Thanks IAteSomeCorn I'm going 2 try that this guy here is right it do cost alot 2 get ride of this. I will let you know if it work's for me :) can't wait to try it

  • cut off your feet and go buy new ones

  • home remedies doesn't work for everyone because everyone's bodies are different. Your condition (if it still exists) might be more serious then others. You should see your doctor.

  • please help me i have a dead nail i think the middle finger of mine has a black straight line and my other thumb has it too

  • the oregano oil actually works. i can tell you this from experience. my nail is almost all the way back, nothing else worked at all, especially the antifungal over the counter shit. let me know if you wanna know what kind i got. i promise you it works, althought it smeells like shit! haha

  • @keeponkeepinon what kind did you get to get rid of the fungus and where and how much mines is starting to grow

  • @keeponkeepinon what kind did you get to get rid of the fungus and where and how much mines is starting to grow

  • @keeponkeepinon I would love to know what kind you're using. I'm soaking my feet in vinager right now but I'm not seeing any progress. Maybe i'm not doing it consistently .

  • VICKS VAPOR RUB WORKS!!!!! i had terrible toenails and i mean terrible like half inch hick yellow mess. i tried all the soaking remedies with no result i even tried listerine. listen to me i want to help you i put vicks vapor rub on and in two days i noticed a change. i put it on once before i went to bed everynight for a week and my nails look great (well compared to what they used too) idk why vapor rubs works but i decided to try it and it worked. Please just give it a try it really works

  • @IAteSomeCorn wait you just put it on your toes nails ????

please i want to try that!!!!!

  • @IAteSomeCorn are your nails completely clear now?

  • @IAteSomeCorn it actually does work...thanks mate :)

  • @IAteSomeCorn Thank you I just got another $100 penlac I'll get The Vics too and tell ya if it cured me- Thanks for that post.

  • @IAteSomeCorn i had a small yellow spot on my nail. used vicks and my nail went dark. did that happen to you and how did you cure it? thank you :)

  • Soak yer feet in turpentine.

  • There is no cure for toenail fungus. The products are only there to take your money because you become so desperate for a cure. Even the new technology of laser treatments have only an 88% success rate. This also will cost you $1200 for something that has no guarantee. Face it you are stuck with your fungus until you die. I have had my fungus for 10 years now and I have tried everything to get rid of it including oral medication and nothing ever worked.

  • @bmgtt45

thanks for depressing us all you miserable bastard.

  • I tried Vicks Vapor Rub and that did nothing.

Then I tried a 50/50 mix of Apple Cider Vinegar and water. Not wanting to have to sit there and soak my toes in it, I put the mixture in a spray bottle. In the morning after I shower, I spray my feet and nails with it generously and put my socks on.

The vinegar smells, but the smell doesn't last long once your sock airs out. (About 10 minutes).

It's been about 2 months and the fungus is 90% gone.

  • I think I'll try that. At least vinegar is pretty cheap.

  • I think he forgot witch hazel, alcohol, floor cleaner, orange oil, bleach, toothpaste, and a whole bunch of other things.

I think ill stick my feet in bleach or put bleach on cotton and band aid em to my toes lol

  • first he says it's very hard to cure then he gives a dozen surefire remedies! What a quack!

  • you need oral medication dum butt

  • Bleach works also

  • I'm not convinced t-tree oil actually works. Infact, I'm beginning to think once you've had this infection, you are stuck with it for life.

    grrrrrrr

  • No, I don't think you're right and I hope you're wrong but here's why... I have it on one of my toes and I did two things. At night, when I'm on the internet, I soaked both feet in a 1:1 mixture of vinegar and hydrogen peroxide. I'm not sure the hp is needed but the vinegar is... I let it soak for 2 hours the first night and then went to bed with a tea-tree oil-soaked cotton ball over my toenail, fastened by tape.

After a couple of days of doing this, I could see the white growing back out!

  • You say "after a couple of days, you could see white growing back". How long have you actually been treating your toes with this method? I sincerely hope it is working for you, but just because your toenails appear to have become "white" doesn't necessarily mean the infection has gone.

Message me in a few months and let me know if you had any success!

  • I'm sorry to say I got lazy and quit after several days but I'm going to start it again. What you said was relayed to me... but that is why treatment needsd to be continuous until the healthy nail grows in otherwise the infection can jump the healthy part and get back into the cuticle somehow.

But when I was doing it, it was like the vinegar was really soaked into my skin... it was saturated No way fungus can grow in that environment. Just gotta start it again.

  • I think it also depends on the climate you live in. I have just been in Turkey where the temperature was more than 105F. I spent most of my days in the sea & didn't wear socks in the evenings. My toenails grew REALLY quickly during that holiday - and I also noticed that the sea-salt water helped. Around the hotel pool, I couldn't help noticing how many other ppl had the same problem - French, Germans, Eastern Europeans - I saw many bad cases.

Anyway, I'm gonna try vinegar next. Cheers!

  • would it work faster if I clipped my nails as much as I could and then try to use one of these or several of these solutions combined? I.e. cutting my nails really short then soaking them all in a mixture of 1/3 listerine, 1/3 vinegar, 1/3 water? I will try this and update whenever I see results. I hope people out there are getting the results they've been seeking for. This condition is really embarrassing for me. I paint my nails all the time because of it :(.

  • @LazyChristy try vicks vapor rub it cured my toenails and they were horrible, im 18 and i had fungus for as long as i can remeber, i just put a heathly layer of the rub on my nails and in a few weeks the problem went away, i did it once a night and let it soak in and in the morning i could see a difference, please just give it a try i know it sounds weird...lol but it worked for me and i want to help you

  • I'm 17, I've had toe nail and finger nail fungus as long as I can remember :(. I used to have a bad habit of biting my nails, probably caused my nail fungus... and when I was little, I never cared about drying my feet properly whenever I went swimming and stuff. I didn't know those kinds of stuff would have such horrible effects. I have it infected on all fingers, except my thumb on the right hand. I had some healthier nails 2 years back but most is infected now:( I'm willing to do what it takes

  • You can easily remove the fungus by clipping your toe just behind the nail with hedge clippers. Your fungus will be instantly removed. No joke.

  • The laser method works 88% than any other medication.

  • LOL!

  • Lamisil, Spornax or lasers will work. Don't listen to these quacks.

  • I took lamisil for six months.

And tried all the quacks he said, still have fungus.

  • when u put one of these things on do u just put it on top of the nail or do u have to put it a certain way?? someone please answer

  • you gotta put it inside the nail

  • did any of these work for anyone??

    answer back please..

  • vicks really work great for me,i try everything on the internet and noting work i been having it for 10 years. so i try vicks it clear all my toe nails but it took like a year.but also i took turns with vicks more often and then nitrate 2% on the nails, then you got to keep cutting the nail until the new one comes out.but yes it works.

  • How did you do it? Did you put Vicks on and on top with a band aid? How long did you leave it on/how many times a day/week did you put the VicKs on? What is Nitrate 2%?

  • Thank you.

  • i agree with you

  • Great remedies! Thank you Joe!

  • I tried all the alternative rememdies and wasted a lot of time and money. The only effective guaranteed way to get rid of this, is to use Lamisil Tablets for several months (also known in the UK as Terbinafine). There have been some concerns about these tablets causing liver problems, but I've been using it for the last 6 months and no liver probs at all!

All my toes were infected, but now they are all clear, apart from one, which will require a couple more months!

  • no man it is not the only way. we are all different. different blood groups, lifestyles, different dna and predisposition. so different cures may aply.

i have tried sporanox, which are the most hardcore pills you can take, and it didnt do me any good aside from some bad sideaffects (sick, rashes, etcetc).

im trying the tee tree therapy now, that has worked for many many people.

the most important/powerful thing however is the human mind. be healthy in the head and your body will become too.

  • The reason my toes became so badly infected was because I wasted about 12 months trying "alternative" therapies that I had read about on the internet. These didn't work, and consequently my toes got worse.

Yes, tee-tree oil will certainly improve the "appearance" of your toenail infection - but once you stop using it, the problem wil re-appear. The fungal infection in your toe-nail originates from the skin on your "feet", therefore treatinig your toenails alone, will not cure the problem!

  • Im not implying that "your" way is the wrong one. I'm just saying that there are many ways - one has to find what is efficient for him/her.

I know for a fact that pills-treatment (lamisil or otherwise), hasn't worked for many people (including me), just as "alternative" treatments may not work for everybody.

Tee-tree oil is not meant for improving appearance, it has strong anfi-fungal properties and is an allround "elixir" for skin realated problems (including bug-bites, rashes etc..).

  • Yes, I agree that different things work for different people. To be honest, I was very reluctant to take these Lamisil tablets, as I hate any kind of medication (they can cause liver probs). Maybe when I come off them, I will use tee-tree oil as part of my daily bathroom routine. Do you mind me asking how many toes of yours are infected. I ended up with ALL my toes! It's really annoying, as I shower and clean everyday - but I blame wearing training shoes and thick sports socks too much! :)

  • Wierdly its fingers 1,3,5 on both legs 2,4 are healthy. I also do alot of sports and have thsi problem for ages ( maybe 5 years or more).. Stupidly i have not adressed the problem when it began )only skin itching etc, no nails infected.. 2 years ago i tried pils, but didnt work, i hate pills. Now i really decided to make this problem go away.

  • Im using tee tree oil twice a day, and use it on all fingers and between. Before putting any socks on i always use anti-micotic pouder to keep them dry and keep a hostile enviroment for the fungus.

As i mentioned, the most important thing is to keep a very positive attitude and visualise your toes healhy. Mind is the most powerful medicine. By going at it from both ends (physical and mental), i'm sure they dont have a chance. :D

    Best of luck!

  • That's good advice. If someone is very negative within their mind, sooner or later it will have an effect on their body. They say natural sea water can also be very good for this problem. Wish I lived closer to the sea.

    Good luck with your's too!

  • So what did you do to fix it after?

  • I have now come off my medication from the doctors. I am now using t-tree oil, however, I am sorry to say my infections appear to be returning again. This is SO annoying for me, as I have worked really hard at getting rid of this.

  • ohhhhhhhh HELL NOOOOOO

  • roflmao

  • lmao

  • Just to warn the lysterine works. but it takes like2 months. Better get to work now

  • Listerine works easily and you only have to apply it once in a while. Use a cotton ball and apply it full strength. As long as it grows out you can keep cutting it off.

  • This is an interesting commentary, but I suggest your viewers consider TINEACIDE. OTC fungal nail relief is best realized with TINEACIDE, which is the number 1 physician suggested OTC antifungal in the US. I have been recommending it for years with very satisfied patients. RB, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine.

  • are all these products a permanent solution for curing the nail fungus?

  • tried all that stuff for ages doesnt work. Vicks is more cometic it will look like its working but will not kill the fungus. Gave me great hope for a while. Currently taking lamsil got the generic version on local pharmacies discount plan for 10.00 dollars. Doctor says its not any worse on you're liver than drinking a half bottle of beer a for 60 days

  • Do you have to put the tree tea directly on the nail or drink it, i saw another video where the guy drinks it, but this gu says to apply it on nail, someone help??

  • I've always had perfect nails until the door of a subway kicked back violently onto my big toe. Since then I have a rotten looking toe. My wife gave me some Vics Vapor rub. I'm currently applying it morning and night. Been a week now and it already is looking a bit better - still a long way to go - but - I like my money working for my family rather than sending a doctor and his on vacation.

  • the best way is 35% hydrogen peroxide and it will be gone in a few days. just pour it right on the nail out of the bottle. works instantly

  • that is in the brown bottle?

  • yea thats it

  • cool..thanks.

  • where can I buy 35% hydrogen peroxide?

is is easy to get it?

  • your nearest pharmacy might sell it.. i saw it at wallgreens...

  • i believe you that HP works but...how can the fungus be gone in a few days when the nail takes months to regrow? where does the dead nail go so fast?

i used tea tree oil for my nail and in a couple of months the nail grew back healthy but looks like you have to keep doing that routine forever because the dreaded fungus never really goes away...once you stop applying that remedy, it comes back...that's what happened to me after a year or two...

  • is that regular hydrogen peroxide? and how long will it take.

  • Thanks for the tip! I will try this and let you know from time to time how the remedies work.

  • The video was great!! If I did have a problem with nail fungus I know exactly what to do. He was very helpful and the fact that they showed what the product looked like was even better.

  • Wow I guess I'll have to try that. I'm only 15 but when I was younger I used to swim a lot and I think that was what caused my fungus nails because I remember that I used to just swim and then came up to eat fruits and snacks and so and then went back. I'm gathering the moisture stuck around long enough! Eeek! Remember to dry your hands and feet well after a wash, folks!

  • thank you :)
