Dianno has been making money from the Maiden name for years, he even did a tribute to Maiden CD FFS.

I doubt that Dianno could have turned Maiden into a global band, it needed Dickinson. How ridiculous to think about turning Maiden into a punk band when punk was dying out.

Maiden failed miserably when Bruce left, just goes to show that Dianno is wrong about Harris, he may be the brand owner, but it takes the other members to make Maiden.

Here's a fact: if it hadn't been Steve Harris' band, Di'Anno would have had them doing covers of The Sex Pistols and the Thompson Twins. Instead, they took metal far beyond the power pop that Judas Priest and Saxon were known for, kicking the door wide open for bands like Slayer, Metallica and Testament.

Di'Anno claims he was always a punker, which is pretty funny, since he grew his hair out in the mid-80s and pretended he was a heavy metal icon with songs like "I don't wanna know."
