@vrblitz NO, Its actually a laser, you would know if you watched the cartoon, or played any video game with Ironman in it. Also in the Ironman 2 movie, in the scene where Tony and Rhodey were fighting, before they actually started fighting, Tony used the chest laser to blast a watermelon.

@mansandem idk, but his armor is always connected to an arc reactor for energy, and how he put's it on top of his clothes, and like he did in the beggining where he took the armor off and the tuxedo was in tip top shape, is kind of weird.

and this is quite different from the cartoon. in the movie, the glowing part on his armors chest IS the arc reactor.

Every armor have a name. Here is the "centurion" suit. The color code is red/silver.
