Im trying out for the part and just wondering. What lines should I say? We have to say a few lines and i'm not sure?

@HopefullProductions well there are two main scenes where veruca has a big chunk of lines and not just scattered ones. there's the beginning of this scene and an interview scene in act one where she yells at the interviewer for saying her name wrong. so either of those would work :) good luck!

The only thing I can say is that your should have thought of sight lines (not you, but your director) because the house left would have been able to see Veruca just cower behind the box.

@StaraziaSelin66 I auditioned for this part at our school, and it's hard not to go flat when you sing out in it. all the songs in this production are really high for some reason.

aw thank you! my only tip would be to not hold back. remember that you are a spoiled brat, and you should be screaming and yelling and being annoying! even if everyone else goes up there and sings in a tiny little high voice, get up there and SCREAM and really become the character. it's not very often that you get to act like that, so take advantage of it. have fun! i'm so flattered that you asked me sorry im writing so much lol. let me know if you get the part! i hope i helped!

Willy Wonka needs to ACT LIKE WONKA. She knows her lines, and she acts out her movements, but her voice shows nothing of who she's playing.

I had the part of Mrs.Bucket originally but our varuca Got sick on the day of our first preformance so i filled in for her our coriographer read my lines out of a note book and lip sang to my voice! I sang for varuca though it was one of the strangest but coolest things i've ever done in theater!

i was also veruca salt in my camp's production of willy wanka jr. and i thought u did ok. it's so weird, i can't not sing the song in a English accent... but it's funny how the same charictor can be so different. u were much more disstructive and screamy... i was more bratty and rude (and english). but whatever. i'm not saying that u didn't play the part right though... wow this is really long.i'm gonna stop typing now.
