  • He makes relatively simple stuff like this sound soooo beautiful, Buddy is a pedal steel genius.

He plays complex stuff so smooth and seamless that it makes you think you could play it until you try, but he never over does it , always stays tasteful to perfection.

I hear Buddy has retired now and after near 60 years of drawing the benchmark I hope he has many years to enjoy other things, Im just sad I never got to see him play live.

  • @pedalman well said. I too am bummed i never got to see him play in person.

An inspiration to all stringed instruments.

  • Did you ever get to Watertown, TN for the steel players festivals back in the day? My best friend Bob Browning used to host them and play bass...nothing says music better than steel!!!

  • @docsavage98 wow Bob was on all the Jeff Newman lesson tapes i got. Those where a great help when i started out playing steel

  • Jeff was a good old boy.....haven't talked to Bob in a few years....I hope he's still plugging along..always thought he was one of the smoothest singers I ever met.....good friend too.

  • Perfection !

  • That is just pure magic , makes that relatively ordinary tune into a million dollars what can we say about the greatest steel player , just genius.

  • Mr Big E at his Best...*****

    Fantastic...
